anu maganda anti virus para net cafe??
kasi gamit namin didto kaspersky pero ang mga crack na games detect niya as a virus

anu kaya maganda gamitin suggest naman mga sir

Disagree po. In fact, ok ang anti virus sa server. Yung workstations dapat ang may deepfreeze. As long as may tiyaga kang mag update weekly ng games/applications mo, smooth sailing ang cafe mo.

In fact, mas malaking stress kung naatake ng virus/malware na di kaya ng antivirus, kaysa sa pag update mo ng games/applications mo.

And on the customer's side, mas mapi please pa sila dahil mas mabilis ang computer mo. Wala na kasing tumatakbo sa background na security guard (anti virus/anti malware) na nagi re review ng lahat ng application bago mo i open, at habang ginagamit.

Problem lang eh kung may hardware incompatibility yung pc nyo, bossing. Pero, kung wala, yep, ganyan na ganyan nga. Install all files. then Freeze.

Kung may kailangan i install na bago (or i uninstall, or i patch/update), i unfreeze/thaw nyo.

Good version is anything na Deep Freeze 6 and above. Yung below kasi, may unfreezer na eh.

Kung tingin nyo eh hindi naman tipong may nananabotahe diyan sa inyo, pwede nyo i freeze lang yung main drive (yung may OS). Disadvantage of this is syempre, pwede burahin lahat nung nasa unfrozen partition nyo. Lalo na kung ang lalakeng files pala nung pinagbubura nung lintek na spy galeng sa kabilang shop, nakow.

Anong timer ang may conflict sa deep freeze? Marami ako kilalang cafe owners with deep freeze. timers nila are cafe suite, cafe manila, cybercafe pro. Timer na gamit ko wintimer. Smoothsailing naman lahat.

if you hav a budget try a hardware deep freeze ( recovery card ) system compatible sa anti virus tsaka outside sa windows ang function niya. also try to update regularly your windows para walang butas ang system mo

deep freeze para safe di lang sa net.... pd mo ding pagpilian yung bit defender, avira saka kaspersky.... sa net timer naman gamit ko handycafe, cyber cafe pro saka i cafe boss.... certified tech here!

Anyone tried "Microsoft SteadyState"? Its supposed to function like "Deep Freeze"... and its free from the Microsoft website (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/default.mspx). It supports both Windows XP and Vista.

Wait, I think you still need an antivirus/anti-malware system even if you are using "Deep Freeze". Remember, by using Deep Freeze, you are essentially virtualizing your machines, however, one can still install malicious software, keyloggers and viruses in that machine during the PC's use... those malwares would only be removed ONCE you rebooted the computer. Now, if you really plan to make workstations that lacks an antivirus program, do you plan to reboot your machines each and evertime a new costumer uses the PC? 

As for recommended antivirus, I use NOD32 (albeit its not free) and it serve me quite well. AVG is a good free antivirus since I believe its one of the antivirus out there that has anti-rootkit.

Now, if you really plan to make workstations that lacks an antivirus program, do you plan to reboot your machines each and evertime a new costumer uses the PC? 

The ideal answer is yes. Lalo na kung start pa lang ng cafe mo. But as time passes, youll get loyal and trusted customers. Kung sila yung mag a out, at alam mong inosente yun sa paglalagay/pagdadownload ng malwares, there really is no need to reboot the pc everytime na may mag IN na new customer.

Yung mga keyloggers lang ang problema naman talaga dahil posible ma hack yung customers mo. Other malwares (viruses, worms, trojans), hayaan mo lang yan hanggang sa next na reboot. Kahit kumalat pa yan sa network. Anong sisirain ba nyan? At the end of the day, mawawala rin yan.

Maganda kung ipaalam mo sa customers mo (yung customers samin, alam na alam) na naka deepfreeze ka. Kung gusto nilang siguradong keylogger free, sila na mismo mag restart nung pc.

Anyways, kung talagang mag i install ka ng antivirus, then hindi na advisable na sabayan mo pa ng deepfreeze. Imagine kung everyday, mag a update yung antivirus dahil frozen yung drives, araguy.

I agree on some of your points but my concern is more about the welfare of the customer...especially those casual users that does not use the PC for gaming. If "... hahayaan mo na lang" yung mga viruses prior to reboot, casual customers (e.g. those writing their thesis) might have their files (as well as their USB thumb drives) infected. Yes, using Deep Freeze is good protection for your network... but how about the customers? Will that customer go back to a compu shop where his/her files were infected?

I haven't used Deep Freeze before, but isn't there an option/setting where you can allow Antivirus updates and Windows updates? I believe Microsoft SteadyState has that option.

Dont allow thumb drives. Disable yung USB. The My Documents should target a folder in your server. Kung may ipapa save sila, sa server sila mag pa save. Libre clean ng virus nung Flash Drive pa nila.

Why don't he have both? A virtual machine AND an antivirus? Set-up SteadyState in such a way that it'll only allow Windows and AV Updates. I'm sure he'll have enough RAM to accommodate their boot-ups. Why sacrifice security with minor inconvenience?

The reason kung bakit ka gagamit ng deep freeze is because gusto mo maka free ng resources which you would have used on an antivirus/antimalware. You can have both if you want. Sigurado tepok ang malware. But youll be sacrificing speed. Sa labanan ng cafes ngayon, speed ang gusto ng mga customers. Gusto nila, pagka click, nandun na. Otherwise, "de uling daw ang pc mo at need mo pang paypayan"

And with the setup na sinabi ko, walang security na nasacrifice.
