"Of course, Lucio Tan based his prediction on how the Philippine economy paced in the past century when cronies were allowed to dictate economic policies and when the largest companies were involved in manufacturing of beer and cigarettes."
without sounding like a racist..... hindi purong pinoy si lucio tan infact if im not mistaken.... walang dugong pinoy si lucio tan, also he is one of the biggest crony of marcos, infact as of late the marcos children are all set to regain control of the lucio empire which they claim was only handed to him by marcos in-trust.
as they say "hope springs eternal", kung sa pagasa lang meron at meron, mahirap dahil sa puntong ito masyado ng diluted and values ng pinoy. all this i ascribe to the fact that we dont have a "sense of history", as such we are not a proud race. unless the filipino will start beleiving in himself, unless we learn from our past, unless we take pride in our race, the filipino is bound to continue to dilute, imagine a filipino is a good american, canadian, australian, and whatever else, but he is never a good filipino. we are even quick to put down our own race, when he becomes a citizen of another country, he is better than their natural born citizens. nakakahiya na ang pinoy mas proud na americano, hapon o ano pa man pero hiyang hiya na filipino siya. let us teach our children to be proud of being filipino, not only because we can box, or play pool but rather be proud that we come from a race who is not only beautiful but is intelligent, hard working, creative and God fearing. Sa aking palagay, babangon din ang pinoy, at darating din ang araw na titingalain din tayo sa mundo. Mabuhay ang lahing PILIPINO!
