so after upgrading/changing my CPU case i decided id go for some other minor system ugrades like a CPU, i prefer a Phenom 2 X4 CPU(
i currently have an X4 955 3.2ghz Deneb) rather than an X6 since it has been well documented Denebs perform better in GAMING than Thubans but Thubans beat Denebs in Multicore Apps and Multi Tasking so i was planing a
Phenom 2 X4 970 3.5ghz since its the last i can get my hands on Brand New then a friend of mine in canada told me he knew a place to get
Brand New X4 980 3.7ghz in Retail Box with the proper codes which is an extremely rare CPU so i told him try to see if he could get his hands on them
but then i just dicovered:
my MSI Motherboard has a BIOS Update that allows me to slap on an FX Vishera CPU on it because originally i thought it could only handle up to X6 Thubans but now it can handle those Piledriver CPUs and i could get an
FX 8350 so now im in a dilema, get an older superfast CPU that is awesome for games(which is my primary PC use) or get a much newer Octa Core CPU but im still leaning on 980 because i use my pc mostly for gaming, watching and surfing, no multicore intensive tasks, im happy i have the option to go FX if i wanted to
so what do gear heads think?
and please NO INTEL SUGGESTIONS since i dont want to get a new platform, im perfectly happy with
AMD
