Usapang Rabies

hindi ko nakita kung nakagat ba ako ng aso ng uncle ko or just a scratch from the dogs nails or a scratch from his tooth.

Can i get rabies from something as small as a scratch na 1/8 of an inch ang size if yung ngipin ba ng dog ang naka-scratch? hindi puncture wound, kundi scratch lang talaga.

should we observe the dog first if he shows any signs of rabies? gaano katagal ba?

Askal po ba yung naka-kagat sa inyo? Much better if you ask your uncle about the vaccination of his dog. Kung naturukan na ng anti-rabies yung aso, no need to worried. Pero kung hindi pa, agapan mo na yan.. Magpa-anti tetanus ka na agad. Pero kung scratch lang tulad ng sabi mo, kaskasin mo na lang ng maraming bawang.  ;D ;D ;D

wala uncle ko, kaya di ko rin matanong kung may bakuna na yung aso.

Dachshund yung aso nila.

its a very tiny scratch, yun nga lang di ko alam kung yung teeth or yung nails ang naka scratch.

kahit scratch oh nadilaan lang basta me portal of entry... delikado yan..100 percent mortality ang rabies... better na pumunta ka sa pinakamalpit na hospital at sasaksakan ka ng antirabies... common dito samin verorab 1500  kada isang shot.ung gamot lang un. 5 shots in 1 month.. pede ka din mag pa anti tetano shot...

if it BROKE SKIN and BLED and your still not sure if may shots yung aso or wala you TAKING A BIG GAMBLE with your life, RABIES hands down is one of(if not the) most horrible ways to die on the planet

FPJs dad, FPS(no pun intended) died not being bitten by their puppy, but gotten an open wound LICKED by the puppy who still had no shots

IT HAS NO CURE, if SYMPTOMS onset then you sir WILL NO LAST THE WEEK

im not trying to exagirate, im trying to make you realize the gravity of your situation

Sir dapat di niyo pinatatagal yan. Find a means of contacting your uncle today. Kung hindi macontact better pa anti rabies and anti tetano na kayo. Rabies is a scary thing. Fast Onset and once it fully enters your body wala na kawala. Sa hospital ang dami naming cases ng rabies. There is even one where they have a rabies holding cell where nakatali ang patient waiting to expire. Makikita mo ang involuntary twitches ng muscle and hindi na makausap yung patient. Take the safe route sir. Better be sure na din.

just a few minutes ago lang nangyari, so pwede bang bukas na ako magpa anti tetanus at anti rabies?

hinihintay ko pa rin dumating uncle ko (around 5pm) para matanong kung may bakuna na yung aso nila.

punta ka sa pinkamalapit na animal bite center sa lugar nyo sir... usually bibigyan ka nila ng antitetanus vaccine (TT & TIG) tapos yung anti rabbies vaccine wag mong ipagbahala ang rabies baka isang araw takot kana  sa liwanag at tubig tapos maglalaway kana at umastang parang aso jk!

better nga kung mag pa antirabies at ats kana.. kahit me VACCINE pa ung aso... iba na ung sigurado un lang... smoking::

so bukas ka pa papabakuna sir? VACCINE is ONLY EFFECTIVE BEFORE SYMPTOMS, VACCINE IS NOT A CURE, RABIES HAS NO CURE, DEATH OCCURS within DAYS

yup dapat ka pa rin magpa antirabies sir punta kalang sa animal bite center sa lugar nyo before 6pm kasi di na sila mag i-inject basta lagpas 6

mahirap yan tol lalo na kung na scratch sya sa canine ng aso

kung every year may bakuna aso okay lang

kung wala syang bakuna or skip ng bakuna  nun aso

mabuti  mag-sigurado

dalawang klase ng tetano shots

yung ATS - anti-tetano serum na galing sa hayop
yung tetanus toxoid na galing sa tao

sa hospital SOP na ang ATS sinasaksak dahil di galing sa tao may skin test yan ng 30 minutes para matiyak na di allergic yung gamot  

kung may PHILHEALTH ang uncle mo
may program ngayon ang philhealth para sa gamot sa anti-rabies magtanong na lang kung available sa lugar nyo sa amin kase available

dahil nga may cases na DOH na ilan years bigla na lang lumilitaw ang rabies nag-impose sila ng SOP na 3 shoots ng anti-rabies kahit na di positive yun naso

mahirap ang may rabies kaysa sa cancer may case nga para maibsan yung pain nun patient lumundag sya sa building nun hospital kawawa syempre

magal ang anti-rabies, usually 9K(when my niece got her face scratched a year ago by a DOG they owned na may SHOTS) but pag dating mo dun sigurado meron ka kahati kasi 1/2 vial lang ang gagamitin sayo

nangyari toh sakin a few months ago. Ang rules sa east ave kahit my may docs yun aso pero 1st time mo makagat ang dapat: 1 anti tetanus (350 pesos) tapos 4 na anti rabbies (1620 each shot for 1 month).  Keep your records kasi pag nakagat ka uli 1 shot n lang ng anti rabbies. rule na daw kahit napabakunahan na yun aso, kahit scratch lang need mo pa din ng anti tet/rabbies. Mahal pero grabe naman pag naulol ka. Pwede pang mabawi ang 8 thou.

anyway just talked to my health insurance provider, covered naman yung first tetanus at first antirabies shot.

f*ck nautusan lang akong pumunta sa kabila, kagat pa inabot.

advice din ng doctor, okay na yung 1shot. observe the animal for 14 days, if the dog shows symptoms continue the antirabies shot. if no symptoms, pwedeng wag na ituloy.

kaya lang dahil sa sabi ni Idiot

baka kaya sinabing 1 shot na lang pwede na, dahil nagpa anti rabies shot na rin ako before. pero that was 3 years ago, sa pagkakatanda ko sa sabi noon good for 1 year yung 5 shots ng anti rabies na binigay sa akin noon.

and ok din kung sa govt hospital ka na lang magpatingin para walang skin test fee and doc fee. Yun vials lang may bayad.

yun nga balak ko, kung kailangan ng succeeding shots, sa govt hospital na lang para mura  ;D

tutal sagot naman ng health insurance yung 1st antitetanus at antirabies.
