san location mo? kung nasa davao ka, wag na wag kang kukuha ng globe, sobrang bulok ng service nila dito. ako kakatapos lang ng 1 year lock in ko kaya nagpaputol na ako agad. and to think business plan pa yung sakin, with CIR (Committed information rate) pa. pangit talaga service nila, laging napuputol. and nakakainis pa, hindi lalabas ang adjustment sa billing mo pag hindi ka nagreklamo. hindi gaya sa iba na automatic rebate agad pag may interruption. gaya nalang last May, mga 4 days straight naputol ang connection nun. pero pag dating ng next TWO billings walang adjustments

wireless ba tong kukunin mo?

100 Mbps gusto mo?

Quote
Globe Telecom Inc. announced on Wednesday that it will offer a hyperspeed Internet product using fiber-to-the-home technology.

Menchi Orlina, head of Globe’s consumer broadband business group, said the new product called gigabit-capable passive optical network (GPON) is ideal for various Internet applications such as High-Definition TV (HDTV) and Internet Protocol TV (IPTV).

The Globe executive said the GPON—which would be launched on June 15 in Forbes Park, Makati—will have speeds of up to 100 Mbps, which is the fastest Internet connection in the country to date.

Orlina said with such hyper speeds, users can open more sites and applications faster and run these simultaneously.

She added that users can also experience smoother video and music streaming and they can download pictures, music and video much faster than they could at entry speeds. They can also share the connection with other heavy users and still have good connection quality.

Globe will offer an entry plan of 10 Mbps for P3,995 monthly, including a landline WiFi router, which allows user to wirelessly share their fast connection with others at home.

A maximum speed of 100 mbps would also be available for P14,995 per month.

The company will offer GPON to residents of posh subdivisions and by next month it will be available in Bel-Air and Urdaneta in Makati and Serendra in Taguig.

Other companies are also rolling out fiber-to-the-home technology like Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) and SkyBroadband, a unit of the Lopez-owned SkyCable.

PLDT earlier said it plans to pilot fiber-to-the-home by the middle of the year.

Bacoor Cavite Globe Broadbano user here...
