Disabling Internet Connection
« on: September 11, 2008, 08:11:44 am »
people i have a situation. I have a computer that is connected to the office server for internet. and i'll be transferring job location for a month and a guy is going to be placed here in my office. I cannot contact our I.T. guy coz he's on vacation.

Question is: how can i disable the internet, not taking of the mail and not going in the server? btw we're using MS Outlook for our office mail.

Thanks a lot

if you're not IT don't do anything... IT ako and i hate my office mates who thinks they know what they're doing and start mingling with their computers... just leave it to the IT guys they know what to do.. why would you wanna disable internet connection anyways.?..

basically, nakiusap lang ako sa IT guy namin na magkaroon ng Internet connection, and binigay nya. so, ngayon he's out on vacation. and I don't know anything bout server, and in the first place I'm not allowed to enter the server room.

the thing is I don't want the guy, replacing me, to have an acces sa internet,  kasi in the first place bawal sa amin.

can you pls help, by doing it on my computer. It's not legal, what I've did is illegal. so can people give me any recommendations how to do it?

Cheers.

Are you a member of the domain??? if you are, and you've setup a password, why not just create a new user for your replacement to login... if he logs in to the new user, your proxy (if you have one) will ask for the authorized domain member.

Anu ba gamit mo? XP, Vista or Win2000. Kc malaki magiging problem nyan pag nagkamali ka ng pagbura ng IP, maybe ur network printer needs an IP address to print files. If naka proxy kayo, by using IE clik on tools, den internet options, den lan settings, if the proxy server has a check, clik mo muna advance button then burahin mo dun mga numbers na nakalagay den clik ok, den tanggalin mo yung check sa use proxy server for your lan, den if meron pa din kaw connection, that would be another problem. right clik mo My Network places, den properties, den right clik mo local area connections den properties, den hanapin mo Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) den clik mo obtain lahat, den clik ok. So far, I think that would help your problem...
