Best bang for value na videocard 7600GT mga 5k sa mga stores. Look for it. Its 128bit but its faster than the 256bit 6800GT and Ultra which costs more.

sorry sir pero mali po assumption nyo, di naman mag matter if ATI based or nVIDIA based ang motherboard mo, lamang lang ng ATI based is if mag crossfire ka, but again multi GPU setups arent recommended unless highest end ang i multi GPU mo (say dalawang HD 2900xt or 2 8800GTX/Ultra)

and by saying ATI radeon, alin po bang Radeon ang tinutukoy mo kasi marami po yang model..

D ata ako agree dyan, Based on my experience, I hate ATI, dati fans ako nito kaso, ayaw ko na lalo nung nagamit ko yung RADEON nila na naku po, sakit ng ulo ko dun, sobrang bagal kaya nagpalit ako ng PALIT na video card... 256 Mb din, ayun ok na at masaya na ako ulit. hehehh

kaya ang masasabi ko po mr. thread starter, ok yan lalo't Gefore/NVDIA. ehehe

sorry sir, but this is a very misinformed post..sure my pangit na radeon models (like yung mga low end sa x1xxx series) but there are other readon models na maganda

in fact, up until the Geforce 8 series, the Radeons have the best image quality among video cards..

tsaka before the geforce 8800s, the X19XX had the best performance among single GPU solutions (since yung 7950GX2 malakas kasi parang 2 cards in one board na yun)

consider the FX series na rin which were total crap compared to their radeon 9xxx counterparts

to the OP..sorry to say, but the FX series was the series that brought shame to the Geforce line

matanong ko lang, ano po ba ang motherboard mo? on modern mobos kasi with onboard solutions (specifically the geforce 6150 and geforce 7050 onboard videos) mas maganda pa ang performance ng onboard kaysa sa FX5200/FX5500

i have a friend who has an FX5500, and sad to say, it struggles on DX9 games (tatalunin pa ng onboard na Geforce 6150 and mga low end FX series)

care to download FRAPS and tell me ilang frames per second ang nabibigay nito?

also, have you tried comparing the performance nito sa mga ka batch nito na card from ATI (ie. Radeon 9550, which is supposed to be its competitor)

Wala ka masyado option sa video cards kasi agp slot lang meron sa mobo mo (mas maganda sana pag may PCI-E). Kunin mo na lang 9550 o di kaya GECUBE X1050L 256mb 128bit = 2.5 K.

Pero expect na maraming bagong games ang di nila kaya patakbuhin.

BTW wlang generic na motherboard. Yung Acorp na yan ay brand din ng P3 motherboard ko dati.

bro i mean well and i tell you marami na akong napagdaanang card

eto ang card list ko

1. TNT2 (1 year) tapos pinalitan ko ng
2. Geforce2 MX400 ( 1 month) tapos pinalitan ko ng
3. Geforce4 MX440 ( 2 years) tapos pinalitan ko ng
4. Geforce FX 5200 (1 week) tapos pinalitan ko ng
4. Radeon 9550 (gecube brand para 9600XT in disguise) (2 years) bago ko pinalitan ng
5. Geforce 6600GT (1 month) bago pinalitan ng
6. 7600GT (1 year) bago ko pinalita nung march ng
7. 8800GTS

as you can see, mula noon nVIDIA fan na ako, sa era lang talaga ng Geforce FX ako nag shift to ATI..

maniwala ka, yan ang weakness ng FX series ..they fail at DX9 games kung ihahambing mo sa ka generation nila sa ATI (Radeon 9X00)
in fact, yung Radeon 9550 (if yung gecube brand ang bibilihin mo) FX5600/5700 ang kalaban nyan)

but if you can stretch your budget a little, or if comfortable ka sa 2nd hand na card, id suggest at least a 6600GT para makalaro ka ng mas recent na games (natandaan ko kasi nag struggle yung 9550 ko sa NFS most wanted) so im not sure if ano pa kaya patakbuhin nun na bagong game..

if you can stretch your budget though id recommend at least a 6600 GT (pero mag struggle pa rin sa bagong games and baka di kayanin ng PSU mo if generic PSU) pero at least may SM3.0 sya

heres a review ng performance ng Radeon 9550 vs the other cards sa list mo

as you can see, di FX 5200 or FX5500 (na overclocked FX 5200 lang) ang kalaban ng Radeon 9550 kundi FX5700

eto naman comparison ng mga AGP cards at i compare mo saan ang 9550 vs the FX 5200/5500..although walang 9550 sa list, pwede mo na i assume na kapares lang (or sioguro konting difference lang) ang performance ng 9550 sa ATI 9600 Pro ref. card

Ragnarok Online, RF Online, Panya, Rose Online, Command And Conquer Generals Zero Hour, Splinter Cell (X-Box Module) Hitman 2, Hitman 3, Medal of Honor, DOTA online and offline, Battle Realms (winter of the wolf), meron din Never winter nights at Counter Stike, pero d ko masyadong nalalaro, pero running smoothly din yun, GUNZ (Di rin masyado nalalaro, mabagal kasi Internet connection, nyahahah). Running in 1024x768 pixels, High Quality all visual effects are enables, RESIDENT Evil 1,2,3 - wala ako nung 4 and 5 eh, hahhahaa... tsk yung codename veronica.

Dati nga po, Radeon ang gamit ko, kaso nung kakabili ko palang, hndi ko na agad nagustuhan, kasi ang bagal nya, daming kasing drivers na niloload, kaya binalik ko sa shop na binilihan ko, tapos yung nasabi kong video card ang gamit ko ngayon... about po sa friend mo, baka mali lang po yung settings nya... ano po ba ang board na gamit nya? or na install nya po ba lahat ng Drivers ng board nya? baka naman minimal drivers lang ang na install nya, kaya nagkaganun.

lol, di naman pala graphics intensive games yan brod

so no worries, if ganyan nga ang games na nilalaro then ok lang ang FX cards (pero the Radeon 9550 will still win)..i was talking more of games released mga 2004 pataas na graphics intensive (and DX9) like far cry, half life 2 pataas (of course yung mga games like FEAR, STALKER) kahit radeon 9550 malamang di na kaya patakbuhin

another case is yung Most wanted, although nag struggle yung 2 cards (FX5200 and Radeon 9550) mas nag struggle talaga ang FX5200 (naka 800x600 lang ata that time and low settings while nakaya ko mag 1024x768) pero nag f freeze talaga minsan..then i realized na kailangan ko na magpalit (lols)

as for the drivers naman, marunong naman po kami mag install ng drivers ( meaning..uninstall the old one, reboot, run on safe mode and run driver cleaner to clean up the remaining files, reboot and install new driver) yung sa kaibigan ko, athlon64 3000+ ang processor niya (overclocked to 2.4Ghz or 3800+ equivalent) 1gig RAM (asrock 939dual SATA2 ang board)

like i said, i was talking about DX9 games

and as per experience,weakness talaga ng FX series ang mga DX9 games..tignan mo yung chart ko sa taas na may comparison ng cards, makikita mo na tatalunin ng mdrange na Radeon 9 series (9600Pro ) and highest end ng Geforce FX (which is the FX 5950ultra)

so while you are enjoying Ok performance sa card mo (and im happy for you ..no sarcasm meant) i would still suggest sa iba to choose a radeon 9550 over any FX series card since mas ok ang performance nito ..

if you plan on gaming, walang dahilan para kunin mo ang 64-bit

basta sa 3, best option ang Radeon 9550 (just be sure na pag install mo ng new card mo, uninstall the old drivers properly muna)

anyway, warning lang na pag mga bagong games (released 2005 pataas or at least the graphics intensive ones) kahit yung 9550 mahihirapan (like i said, nag sturggle yung 9550 ko dati sa NFS most wanted) pero nakaya naman ang older games like farcry, HL2, CSsource

Wlang problema sa 128-bit tol.. dapat nga un tlga ang kunin mo dahil maglalaro ka..

teka, yan lng ba tlgang 3 cards na yan ang options mo?

anu po ba ang plano mo laruin? kung may mahahanap k na Geforce 6600GT yun nlng kunin mo.. mas mahal nga lng siguro pero for sure may mga 2nd hand na nagkalat dyn.. About sa power supply, yung sakin 400w generic ok na sa 6600GT ko dati..

Niwei, kung yung mga sinabi mo lng talaga ang pagpipilian.. Get the Radeon.

pwede pa ba marecover mga data sa hard disk na di na marecognize ng windows ko?? Di kasi ma-detect yung hard disk ko.. nandun pa naman lahat ng important details ko... Maraming salamat po...

yeah most AGP4x mobos will accept AGP8x cards, on the lower end cards ok lang naman since di naman masyado malaki ang performance hit since di naman nun gagamitin ang full bandwidth ng AGP8x

try mo sa tipidpc maghanap ng mga second hand na 6600 or 6600GT malamang nasa 2k na lang ang mga yan
