its in the production, its very expensive to mass produce considering the facilities, equipment and personnel training needed, have u seen the Intel plants hand how elaborate they r, they have to be very precise and careful

Bulk ng cost e napupunta sa development. Marginal lang epekto ng actual manufacture sa cost.

Milyon milyon kasi binubuhos ng INTEL/AMD during the development (from product conception to extensive testing) kaya binabawa nila yung malaking ipinuhunan nila dito.

You mean SILICON pre...  hindi lang po yun ang ginagamit na materiales sa pag gawa ng isang micoprocessor it also compose of gold kaya nagiging mahal din, idagdag mo pa yung mga makinaryang ginagamit nila para ma solder nila yung mga microscopic parts na yun. pati yung mga trainings nila sa tao. hay, hirap ipaliwanag bro, i suggest kuha ka ng PERMIT sa intel para makapag FIELD TRIP ka dun. hehehehe and see it in your own eyes.

i think yung pins yata eh made of gold.. di ko lang alam kung ilang karat. not sure kung pure.. sa tingin ko plated lng...

Nope, thier pins are not made of gold, plated lang po, ang gold part po ng chips eh yung mga connection nya dun sa loob mismo ng processor... (wires) 99.99% gold yun. even in your sim cards, meron din yang gold content.
