Topic: how to open application faster.. what should i upgrade???

guys, sluggish na tong pc ko konti,,, anu ba kailangan iupgarde???
ram ba? kasi processor ko naman e pentium 4 2.66 ghz.. tpos ang ram ko naman ay 256 lang. tapos 80 gig ang storage ko.. anu ba kailangang paltan??? thnx in advance???

RAM, and monitor ur running apps, baka meron ka mga antivirus or other hidden applications na nde mo naman ginagamit and automatically executes upon startup

ang nakaopen nalang dito ay sysmantec antivirus at local network connection. So ram pla kailangang kong paltan.. is 256 of ram is really that slow??? tska thnx fow answering...

running win XP and a lot of other software then playing games... 256 is NOT ENOUGH

so how much ram is needed for smooth running applications??? gumagamit kasi ako ng Dreamweaver, photoshop at image ready. At tska minsan ngahuhung ang application kung may nkaopen pang 1 or 2 more apps, specially kung kasabay ng firefox. so 256 is really not that enough?? mga 512 pwde na ba yun?

the way u use ur PC u need an new CPU since mukhang multitasker ka, get an new Dual core CPU(with more than 1mb L2) and get 512 of RAM(much better if 1gb), kc kahit Hyperthreading a CPU mo if u overload it with multiple tasks using bigger ram will have minimal improvement remember the performance of ur system is dependent PRIMARILY on ur CPU and not just the amount of RAM u have

ahh thnx xtian63 for your tips... pero masyadong mabigat sa bulsa ang new cpu eh.. baka gawin ko nalang 512 yung ram ko tapos babawasbawasan ko muna ang pagmumulti tasking... ahehehehe. is dat a good plan to run a application smoothly? mga 2 or 3 apps running simultaneously, is that too much for a 512 ram CPU???

512mb will improve ur system and u will feel the improvement, but ist only gona be slight, tanong mo kc "how to open application faster", a new CPU with a hefty amount of L2 will allow u to open ur most frequently used app faster and Dual Cores can make u run a lot of apps at the same time

512 mb will make most of your programs run faster. but considering that new applications require more memory (e.g. 3d applications, adobe, corel . etc) I suggest you should have at least 1 gb of memory.

xp and symantec antivirus, malakas, gumamit ng memory. try changing first yung anti virus mo. madami naman anti virus na free sa net na pwede din update. yan din gamit ko before, ang bagal talaga. di na ako nagpalit ng memory, antivirus software lang pinalitan ko. kung meron ka spysweeper na naka-install, malakas din gumamit ng memory yun. try mo muna ito, kung ayaw mo or di ka pa rin satisfied, add ka nga ng memory
