getting that message means you are loading too many things in your pc na hindi na kaya ng windows. to solve that problem allocate more in the virtual memory setting  (dont let windows manage it for you)

if you really want to change hardware then add more RAM, especially since you mentioned onboard ang video card mo. so if your RAM is 512MB, less pa yan for the video (i.e. 64MB) so your free RAM is only 448MB.

im guessing those two programs are not the only ones running in the background thats why u get a warning. try to remove those other things in the taskbar that you dont use currently (i.e. YM,chikka, office quickstart, etc etc)

Pag pagod ka ng basahin sa haba ng explanation eto ang shortcut:

Download the vbs script in this site http://billsway.com/notes_public/WinXP_Tweaks
Run all your normal program/application.
Then RUN the script (WinXP-2K_Pagefile.vbs) to know how much Virtual Memory is needed to be set. Page file can be set to reside in different Partition as long as you retain a small amout of page file on drive C:

i had the same problem at 256 lang memory ko. sa sobrang lala ng problema ko with the memory, hindi ako makapag launch ng YM. so i took the following steps:
1. i downloaded an anti-spyware app
2. i applied a security policy in the regedit that automatically cleared the pagefile memory each time the pc was shut down
3. i increased the virtual memory. for partitioned hard drives, DO NOT elect pagefiles for both drives. do this only on the C drive.

hope this helps.

pahabol if i may.....

if expert ka sa pag tweak ng windows you may mess around with the virtual thing.... BUT

if not, you may check all the programs running in the background processes ...
start on disabling some programs that are running once your computer starts....
try msconfig at the run dialog box then click startup tab... start to identify which program
is not very usefull to your system so you could disable them to free some memory.... OR

as the usual thing causes this things download and install an anti spyware it could be a worm not a virus eating your resources....

ingat lang sa pag surf and pag click ng mga pop ups sa internet dun mo makukuha yung mga worms/scripts na yan.... and yung mga online gaming like (casinos, cyber sex, wild agent and etc...) usually kc may mga built in programs/scripts cla na nag hahanap ng internet connection kahit wala those things eats a lot of your resources....

hope this helps....
