buy a DSL router, wag lang ung switch or hub kc routers have the ability to split the broadband connection into EVEN proportions meaning all PCs u hook up to a router will have even bandwidth distribution, unlike Hubs and Switches na uneven ang distribution, imagine ung CABLE TV splitter, ung last TV na magbubukas usually ang makakakuha ng pinakapangit na reception, d2 samin we have 1 Linksys router where 3 pcs are directly connected(including mine) tapos ung ung 4th ethernet port Hub ang nakakabit to distribute out connection to 3 other PCs, hehe im using 60meters of LAN cable papunta sa bahay ko kc 3 houses away ung layo ng bahay ng tita ko(who owns the PLDT line and DSL account), and 3 of the houses(connected to the HUB) are 7 houses away, noticable ang difference ng nakarouter and hub lang lalo na sa file downloading
if u have extra money invest in a wireless network, un ang next phase na gagawin namin kc magpapalit na kami ng mga pcs into laptops
WAG KA PAPAUTO SA PLDT, nung nakita nila dati ung connections na ginawa ko they tried to screw us by making 1 pc need to connect via Username and Password sa main configuration ng DSL modem, meaning the 1st pc to connect to the DSL will be the only one to access and the rest will not be able to connect, i hacked the DSL modem and reversed everything they did and configured the MODEM itself to make the connection wiith the username and password ergo allowing the router to connect to it and all the pcs in the network share the connection
