Advice on this notebooks
« on: January 02, 2007, 10:22:03 pm »
Hi, which is better in terms of performance and cost? I'll use it in office works and Need for Speed, NBA Live 2007 and perhaps the latest games at 800x600, 16bit only. I'm satisfied with that. I will go to Dubai within a month so I'm worried with the warranty if I bought it here.

1. Php40000, ECS, Pentium M 2mb, ATIX700 128mb, 512ddr, 80PATA HD, DVDRW, 15.4" Napansin ko wala itong model na ito sa ecs website. Ano ito inassemble ng pc store? Kung oo, ok ba ito?

2. Php37000, Blue, Pentium M, ATI9700 256mb, 512 ddr, 80SATA HD, CDRW/DVDROM, 15.4" (Note: 2 unlit pixels on the upper left hand screen)

3. Php46000, ECS, Pentium M 2mb, ATI9700 128mb, 512 ddr, 80PATA HD, DVDRW., 15.1" (BAT KAYA MAS MAHAL ITO SA ITEM #1?, same store naman)

4. Php39000, ECS, Pentium M 1mb, ATI9700 128mb, 512 ddr. 80PATA HD, DVDRW., 15"

5. Php43000, MSI, Core duo (2mb), X200 128mbshared, 512ddr2 80 HD, DVDRW, 14.1"

Or yung item # 5 dahil core duo na sya at ddr2?

Pakirecommend.

Maraming salamat.

pentium M inuumpisahan na nila iphase out just like celeron m, y r u still considering old models with a 1 core, ung #5 core duo na Centrino and is the latest cpu for low cost pcs, X200 pa ang vga mo, tapos DDR2 na(kc ung iba ddr lang) the obvious choice for me is number 5 but its ur money so the final choice is up to u, if iniisio mo "in the future" mas matagal pa buhay ng core duo

i will choose the last one over the pentium M ATI700 for the following reasons

DDR2
DVD writer
Core duo (true dual core as compared to pentium M which only simulates dual core)
SATA hard drive
wireless

Ok i revised my setup:

Pent M1.6  + 1GBDDR + ATIX700dedicatd

OR

Core duo 1.6 + 512mbDDR2 + ATIX200share
