The Spanish company has sent a delegation to the Philippines to present the modern patrol Avante 1800. The country will submit a year-end competition for the acquisition of these ships and Navantia participate in it.

Syempre naman! But the Hamiltons have their advantages as well.

- they're cheap (practically given to us)
- they're available NOW, ( it takes years to build a warship)
- they're bigger (Better for rough Seas)
- they're easier to operate and maintain ( "Hi-tech" ships need "Hi-tech" training and experience, something the PN doesnt have for now)
- they will serve us a "stepping stone" for the navy.
- they have room for upgrades (check the USCGC Mellon)

Personally, I would love to see the Maestrale flying our flag. I think its better for us. But for some reason the program did not push through and the Gov't opt for new hulls.  ??? ???

That's a nice ship, lalo na kung brand new ang kukunin ng Pilipinas. Anyway palagay ko dapat talagang tumulong ang Spain sa atin ngayon, considering na, in my opinion, sila ang ugat ng halos lahat ng problema sa bansa natin ngayon.
