Suspects in UPLB student murder nabbed

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – The two suspects in the murder and alleged rape of a UP Los Baños student last Tuesday are now under police custody.

One of the suspects, tricycle driver Percival De Guzman, was arrested by the Laguna police after being tagged by a witness who saw him and PSBank security guard Lester Ivan Lopez Rivera abducting Given Grace Cebanico along Diamond Street in Umali Subdivision.

Rivera, on the other hand, surrendered to authorities in Floridablanca, Pampanga, Friday morning.

Laguna police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Gilbert Cruz said Rivera already had gone missing since the day of Cebanico’s murder.

Cebanico, a 19-year-old Computer Science student, was on her way to her dormitory when she was abducted.

Her body was found Tuesday morning in a canal in Barangay Putho-Tuntungin.

She had a bullet wound on her forehead and bruises all over her body. Both her hands were tied and masking tape covered her mouth.

Cebanico also did not have any underwear, leading police to suspect that she was raped before she was killed.

Cruz said De Guzman pointed to Rivera as the one who planned the alleged rape and murder of the victim. It was also found out that Rivera had taken his service firearm home that day.

The police recovered Cebanico’s iPod music player from De Guzman.

Cruz said the police are waiting for the result of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) investigation that will determine if Cebanico was indeed raped before being killed.

Wala ng human rights sa mga manyakis na mga ito. DAPAT IBYAHE NA MGA ITO, BYAHENG IMPYERNO (or in other word, I-SALVAGE NA). DI NA DAPAT BINUBUHAY MGA GANITONG KLASE NG HAYUP.  gun::

sana may kakilala ang pamilya ng biktima na medyo maimpluwensya. hindi dapat agad agad ang pag patay sa mga manyakis na yan. dapat dyan, torture. ni rape na't lahat, pinatay pa. rape pa nga lang sukdulang kasalanan na sa babae yun, tapos kelangan pa patayin?? may araw din mga hayop na yan. smoking::

sana naman eh talagang mga may sala ang mga yan.  mahilig kasi maglabas ng mga "fall guy" ang pnp sa mga high profile cases na tulad nito.  kumbaga pag may pressure sa kanila ay "nahuhuli nila agad" yung may sala.

and if sila na nga may sala, pasok muna sa selda, damitan ng palda, lagyan ng lipstick ang labi at bigyan ng KY ang mga barakong mga KOSA.  after an all-nighter (yung halos hindi na makalakad) siguro saka na ilabas at ibiyahe (make sure wala rin silang saplot at matatagpuan sila sa gilid ng daan, say SLEX.  same fate as what happened to their VIC, rape and murder.

mga ganitong tao ang hindi na dapat binubuhay.  mga high-ranking officials kasi, mahilig sa mga halang ang bituka.  inaalagaan at ginagamit sa mga iligal na lakad.  BJMP, may kinakabahan ba sa inyo?

I am from Elbi and I don't know the suspects but i have seen them around! If I only knew they would do such thing .....

I am convinced they are the ones responsible kase yung kaibigan ko na Brgy counselor  was with the brgy tanods when the 1st suspect was arrested (hindi po pulis ang nakahuli sa unang suspect kundi mga Brgy tanod) Inaresto nila yung unang suspect dahil nakipag away ito sa isang autistic na tao. At habang inaresto nila tong gagong to they found Given Grace phone in his pockets


Rest in peace Given Grace may swift justice be served.....

Hindi ako pabor sa death penalty sa mga ito kung sila talaga ang gumawa... Easy way out yun para sa akin sa ginawa nila... Dapat sa mga ito Make their lives a living hell every day... Wag hayaan na magsuicide para makatakas... Dapat hindi lang talaga pagsisihan nila ang ginawa nila, dapat pagbayaran nila until nature takes its course sa buhay nila kung paano sila mamamatay... Madalas pa naman ako mag shortcut dyan sa UP.  Parang nakakatakot na dumaan.  Sobrang luwag kasi ng security dyan..
Sa mga nambiktima, para kayong walang anak. Ganyan ba kayo katigang, papatay ng tao makaraos lang. Ganyan talaga pag may sa demonyo, your master is waiting for you...master ng kabulastugan...
