pa help naman po kung pano ma connect ang edimax wifi router sa globe broadband..

ung akin kasi plan 795, wala xa kasama wifi router.. meron ako bili edimax wifi router kaso hindi ko alam kung pano ma configure with globe modem. pa tulong naman please...

anong modem ng globe mo? globe broadband din ako.  yung username and password usually nasa modem na nila.  prolink nga pala yung binigay sakin.

ok mag wizard ka at make sure DHCP yung option mo sa LAN ok ganyan yung nasira kung router

BR-6204WLG po model number ng router ko.. hindi naman po usb modem ung binigay skin ng globe. pano po kya malaman ung password and user name?..wala kasi binigay ung nag install ng broadband.

check mo yung IP ng router mo baka kasi 192.168.1.1 kasi ang alam ko yun din ang default IP nung sa modem baguhin mo yung IP ng router i try mong gawing 192.168.0.1 then check mo kung gagana

ang pinakauna mong dapat gawin is to check if the modem provided by globe is router modem or not? if router modem dyan madaming nagkakaproblema kinabitan ng separate na router coz nakaset sa routing mode yung modem ng globe kaparehas nung secondary router kaya nagkakaproblema. kailangan munang mailagay sa bridge mode yung globe modem para magamit mo ng sabay na maayos yung dalawa lalong lalo na yung routing capabiliies ng edimax.

ang pinakauna mong dapat gawin is to check if the modem provided by globe is router modem or not? if router modem dyan madaming nagkakaproblema kinabitan ng separate na router coz nakaset sa routing mode yung modem ng globe kaparehas nung secondary router kaya nagkakaproblema. kailangan munang mailagay sa bridge mode yung globe modem para magamit mo ng sabay na maayos yung dalawa lalong lalo na yung routing capabiliies ng edimax.

since nakaembed na sa router ng globe ung username/password, what you can do is to connect the edimax router in the same subnet by putting the rj45 cable from the globe broadband router to the edimax router para nakaseries sila.

for example:

globe broadband router - 192.168.1.1
edimax wifi router - 192,.168.1.xx

make sure that the broadband router's dhcp server is turned ON.

enter the web configuration of the edimax router and make sure na nakaset sya to function only as an access point and not as a router. go to WIFI configuration and set the ssid along with the security of your choice (WEP, WAP, PSK, etc)

that's it.. all routing will still be handled by the globe broadband, but the wifi requests will be handled by the edimax.
