hehe sana gandahan nila quality pag mass produced tingin ko kasi parang de-lata yung body e. sana gawin nilang bulky yung frame para mukhan nakakatakot..baka tawanan lang ng mga kalaban yan e

baka pagtawanan lng..hehehehe  :D :D :D

Pag baril atras agad papuntang jungle

actually this machine is design for convoy escort role that larger armored vehicles cant perform. this might replace simba and v150 from escort misssion.

pwedeng pamali sa M1A1 hehehe!! seriously I think this is a good innovation thinking that our budget for National defense will go to a wrong pocket wrong hands we should find ways to defend our Right.. this is Good for its purpose if it is just for escort mission well it may stand the test of its duty! but the MX-8_Armored_Escort_Vehicle is powered with a 4 cylinder engine desiel wow that is a quite stress for the engine why.. this MX-8_Armored_Escort_Vehicle is 5.5 tons and they put a small engine? my Dads pick up F150 ford has a bigger engine and it only weighs 2 tonnnes.. but other than that this vehicle is cool!

that foto was from timawa.net, anyway.. I've heard that there are about three or four prototypes of the AEV already. It seems that PNP is also interested about it.

I was thinking "RPG" ... ano kaya kung tirahin ito, wasak cigurado... sana me reactive armor na puede ikabit sa sides para mag survive sa unang putok ang crew at maka fire back... ang RPG ang pinaka salot sa mga escort vehicle dito sa pinas kaya yon ang pansinin natin

Come to think of it... even MBTs can be taken out by RPGs...  If you really want to add Reactive armor to it.. How will the machine fair with the added weight...

Hmm..

Makes me wonder... Reactive armor creates an explosion to repel shape charge ammunition. Will the thin armor of that AEV hold the reactive armor explosion without problem?

And also.... How will this AEV be deployed.. If it will come with infantries near it.. An Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA) going off will kill people near the AEV immediately.

Interesting topic...

It seems we may be straying too far from the intended purpose.  We have to consider enemy capability, operational concepts and operational security before we even use vehicles such as these.  This is why the Armor unit of the AFP is focused on light armor because we need more of mobility based on the nature of our terrain and the enemy disposition.  Now reactive armor is not the only way to counter anti-armor weaponry.  This is why mobility is introduced here since the RPG is intended for stationary/semi stationary or direct fire targets.  There is also a thing called stand off distance.

Another thing to consider is driving technique.  Four Wheel driving or even off-road driving requires skill and techniques in order to be effective.  Anyway, I'm glad we're on our way to self-reliance.  Just a little more... This is all for now :)

Cheers!
