i also agree that you only need to have one video card & not necessarily have sli or crossfire in your desktop coz it's not economical & consume more unnecessary electricity.

correct me f i'm wrong but from what i gather, the average nvidia 8800 video card is built for high resolution screens like 30" lcd's or basically for HDTV or blu ray usage.

f i were to choose between nvidia or ati, i would go for nvidia coz from the feedback i got(again please correct me f i'm wrong), ati video cards consume too much power or electricity & they get very hot very fast.

whereas nvidia video cards have power saving features & cooling features like the chill series video cards.
