the trial may be some sort of political maneuvering but it does not mean he didn't really do it so yes i agree with the guilty verdict

the verdict gives a good message that even big time corruption is being punished

and i also don't buy the crap some people are saying na kawawa mahihirap. as the so called mahihirap themselves have expressed, they don't really care. it (the verdict) doesn't really affect them, nothing will change with the verdict. they are still in poverty, mahirap pa rin sila (kahit naman siguro nung si erap ang presidente ganun din ang situation nila).


but, as mentioned, it shouldn't stop with erap, other people who are also engaged in big time graft and corruption should also be brought to court and hopefully (like in this case) given a guilty verdict. this is the FIRST time someone engaged in big time graft and corruption has been sentenced. before puro lang mga maliliit na kaso (though it involved some famous people).

oo kaya sa tingin ko andaming conspiracy na pinag gagawa ang gubyerno at mga taong may kapangyarihan ng ating bansa... tayong mga mamamayan tuloy ay nalilito. kaya nilang pagbabaliktarin ang pagiisip ng ibang tao kaya tayo mismong mga mamamayan ay nahati at nagaaway away dahil sa maling paniniwala....

Erap was given the chance to defend himself he has the best platoon of lawyers Narvasa (former Chief Justice) Mendoza (former solicitor general) Guingona (former Senator) Flaminiano (one Heck of a smart Lawyer) etc..... it took 6 years of defense strategies but we cannot disregard the witnesses the credibility of the witnesses Like the VP of EPCI bank the admission of the Jose Velarde account, what are we going to do? be Blind! pabayaan na lang na hayaan nating na mangyayari ito...a Big NO! let this be an example to everyone including the present administration that there are Laws and it should be implemented..

This will only show what kind of people we are.  Erap was voted with at least 11 million filipinos and then ousted only by a mere 10,000 people in EDSA and a handful of men in arms.  He was accused of plunder and perjury, but a lot of the accuser are doing the same. But then, they are the ones who are in power and controlling the government.  We, the ordinary people, are the ones being caught by the tides of corruption and are suffering because of their greed.

We only deserve the kind of government we have because bottomline is majority of us are gullible
