@flipblood - if im not mistaken the timeline should be from 68 to 74. before malaysia acquired assistance because they feared we will strike at them due to the close proximity they had to us (which is within flying range of the F5). at one point we were also flying F8 crusaders in our territory. the F8's got neglected too much though if you ask me. but that was a kickass aircraft at the time.

< dad used to be an F5 fighter pilot based in basra with the AF. but he was not with the blue diamonds which is the more known group who flew the F5 from the 70's to 90's.

wala na tayong magagawa dyan

panahon ni Mccoy takot ang mga neighbors natin yung lulusubin na ni Mccoy ang Sabbah e natakot malaysia at humingi ng talong sa UN

even the Spratly Island was First occupied by the Chinese and yet nakuha pa ni McCoy

now we are hopeless

1. lack of discipline at patriotism kapag nilusob tayo baka kumampi pa ang mga pinoy sa aggressor with open arms
2. how can we train our citizens e kada training e may bayad na coke at sandwhich (ROTC) days
3. we even don't have the latest equipment especially sa air dahil sa war air supremacy is the key to victory

I totally agree with you!      sayasaya::

Marami magagawa.  First is to campaign that DECS brings back the ROTC to our curriculum.

Second, dahil wala pambili eh gawin na lang dito sa Pinas ang fighter jets.  This will not only create jobs but also create a self reliant air force.  How do we do this?  The Government should provide all the incentives (eg. tax breaks) for anyone who would venture into manufacturing of aircrafts.  The Filipino labor is the best in the world, no question about that.  Kailangan lang ng technology of a country with whom we can enter into a joint venture. Maybe, the Philippine air force can initiate a joint venture with Israel, Taiwan, Japan, Sweden or South Korea along this line.  Wag na natin consult ang US about this kasi they will just invoke the Mutual Defense Pact to stop us from having our own airforce dahil gusto nila sa kanila lang tayo bibili ng jets na napakamahal naman at tatanggalin pa nila ang mga highly advance avionics nito pag binenta sa atin.  Dahil kailangang kailangan ng mga bansa na ito ang pera sa ngayon, they can be enticed to bring their manufacturing here.  Anyone here who can give me ideas on which aircraft technology would be most appropriate?

Third, the government should start offering scholarships sa mga gustong mag aral ng pagka piloto.

a friend of mine, a old school flyboy once told me, that other flyboys even fly over malaysia territory that time. and malaysian have nothing to do. he dont have idea about distance the air force enter from the border.
