the numbers are the socket types and syempre the farther down the list the newest and the better, this is how i remember the sequence of how the Intel CPUs came out from Pentium 1 to the 2nd gen Core i line, if i made an error please feel free to correct me
SC = Single Core
DC = Dual Core
QC = Quad Core
H = Hyperthread
NH = No Hyperthread
CM = Cache memory
NCM = No Cache Memory
T = Turboboost
1/1 = 1 Core 1 thread
1/2 = 1 Core 2 threads
2/2 = 2 Cores 2 threds
2/4 = 2 Cores 4 threads
4/4 = 4 Cores 4 threads
4/8 = 4 Cores 4 threads
Pentium 1-4 478 SC, H, CM, 1/2
Celeron 478 SC, NH, NCM, 1/1
Pentium D 775 DC(supposedly), H, CM, 2/2
Celeron D 775 SC, NH, NCM, 1/1
Pentium 4 775 SC, H, CM, 1/2
Core 2 Duo 775 DC, H, CM, 2/4
Core 2 Quad 775 QC, H, CM, 4/8
Intel Core i5 1st gen 1156 DC/QC, NH, CM, T, 2/4 and 4/4
Intel Core i7 1st gen 1366/1566 QC, H, CM, T, 4/8
then Pentium Dual core DC, NH, CM, 2/2
Intel Core i3 1st gen 1156 DC, NH, CM, 2/2
Intel Core i3 2nd gen 1155 DC, H, CM, T 2/4
Intel Core i5 2nd gen 1155 DC+H, QC+NH, CM, T 2/4 and 4/4
Intel Core i7 2nd gen 1155 QC, H, CM, T 4/8
