laptop hindi usb bootable pano ma reformat thru usb?

as the title says hehe! wala kasing options sa bios to boot thru usb.

lan
dvd/cdrom (broken)

pano to? this is an old laptop of mine. college pa ku.

try mo palitan ng optical drive..o di kaya tanggalin mo ang hard disk tapos ikabit mo sa desktop or other laptop tpos dun mo install yung OS..OS lang wag na drivers tapos after ma install nung OS try mo balik dun sa original laptop yung hard disk then install its drivers..(pero minsan may possibility na mag BSOD)

pwede yan install os thru LAN,or gawin mong slave yung hd ng laptop mo sa ibang pc then dun mo installan ng os,magbubukas ka nga lang ng laptop mo. ;D toast::

try to update bios. make sure it is from a legit site. if it doesn't work or doesn't have an usb boot function even though you've already updated. try not to format first.

anu ba sira ng laptop at kailangan ng iformat? baka pwede pa magawan ng paraan. kung paranaque area ka... pm mo ko.

guys na tangal ko na yung hd now lang. pano iislave to sa desktop? di ba kasya may need ba bilin or gawin?

ganto yung hd ng laptop gantong ganto itsura...

Press F8 or F11 pag turn on mo ng PC Press mo lang tuloy tuloy tapos mamimili ka na ng boot option dun sana makatulong

bro bili ka ng 2.5 na enclosure, sabihin mo pang IDE, sa cd r king meron nun

then saka mo ikabit sa desktop thru usb, saka mo na gawin yung dapat mong gawin...  ;D

you can run the installer cd from network

although baka wala rin option to boot from network yan since luma na

you can also try an external CDROM (kahit via usb yan, ang detect is optical drive), it might work since napagana ko yan ng ganyan dati (although different model yun)

i tried na sir, kaso la pa ko cdrom eh. wala din thru network, luma na kasi. i will try yung sinabi ni sir eroto. thanks

meron na pong bootable usb maker...yun po yung magkecreate ng usb bootable device,,tapos dun manggagaling pang format mo ex. win XP.....kaso lang dapat ma enable mo yung boot other device or from usb device...mas pwede rin rin yung portable   
DVD rom or CD rom drive...then dun ka mag boot other device...

yun lang alam ko goodluck..

Do some research... you can create a bootable USB drive!

Well, installing an OS by slaving, though it works... is not a good idea.

Add ko lang, you can do it even it doesnt have a boot to USB option on bios... thats what they use to load an Windows OS sa mga mini laptops...
