For me I go for Sam Cassell because of what the Clippers achieved when they have him.

  • What makes the engine go? Desire, desire, desire.
Jason Kidd

When the team needs him to score, he scores.
When the team needs him to set up playe, he's executing it.

Steve Nash.

add ko lng.. ang post ko dati ay steve nash.. but now. i thing most deserving si gilbert arenas.. kung malalaman nyo ung story nya on how he went from zero to hero.. hehe.. mainspire talaga kau..

he got drafted in the secod round. by the golden state wariors. mas nauna pa nga si jason richardson..
kasi maiksi sya sa shooting guard possition.. i think he is only abut 6'3" in hight. kaya in the nba his coach trasfered him to the point guard possition.. which he dominated in..

he also made a list of all the players that got drafted before him at tinalo nya lahat sa mga laro nila sa nba.. parang hitlist, hehe.
he got frustrated last season na kahit sa tindi ng performance nya sa wizards ginawa lng syang substitute player sa allstars dahil na injured ang dapat sanang sasali sa allstar game.. this season nasa starting line-up na sya going ahead vince carter in the shooting guard possition by only 3000+ votes.. parang ganti nya.. hehe

this season wala na ang clippers.. wlang nagawa si sam cassel may be due to chaos sa team nila.. like corry magette not happy playin 6th  man.. ang not a starter.

but steve nash is still making waves. with amare staudamire back and healthy.. at kahit overweight si borris diaw magaling parin (smart player).. hehe.. ng improve na rin si barbosa na halos unstopable sa fast break. and defensive player parin si raja bell.. marion on and off parin ang laro..

matindi rin ang pinapakita ni kidd ngaun.. dahil nasa kanila na si vince carter.. na instant offence.. at back up nya si richard jefferson.. kahit na injured center nila na si nenad krstic, ang pinalit nila ay mas magaling pa.. which is mikki moore.

i'd still go for gilbert arenas..

for j-kidd, xxxx nde aabot ng finals ang nets, or even the conference semifinals kung wala sya

kay agent zero naman (arenas), once pa lang nakapasok ang wizards over the last 10-15 yrs bago dumating si arenas.. pagdating nya, playoff contenders na sila at championship contenders na sila this season..

take your pick na lang..  laffman::

  • I'll hump you real hard!
Definitely it's Nash for me. Lahat ng teams pwede mo palitan ng point guard and they will still win.  Pero pag tinanggal mo si Nash, patay na Phoenix.

Basically, a point guard distributes the ball and makes his team mates better by giving them good looks at the basket or an easy basket, this is what Nash does for the Suns, but you also have to consider he is playing with all-star caliber team mates, which makes his job easier. In my opinion, the only problem with Nash is that he is only effective in the type of game the Suns play, when they are forced to play half court offense they suffer, the only half court play that I see them execute often is the pick and roll.

Here is my list of point guards who really helps their respective teams (Not in any particular order):

Chris Paul - Hornets
Steve Nash - Suns
Chauncey Billups - Pistons (Mainly for his knack to hit big shots)
Deron Williams - Utah
Jason Kidd - Nets
Stephon Marburry - Knicks (Joking, though he is a great one on one type of player)

Can't think of anyone else at the moment, its worth mentioning that if Chauncey was there for making big shots then Gilbert Arenas should be there too, well I guess, he has been playing well and their playoff bound. I'll put in Kirk Hinrich just because I am a Bulls fan  :P, cheers  toast::
