A new low pressure area has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
It was last spotted 580 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and it may develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 2 to 3 days.
This weather system will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains to Eastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
The effects of the weather disturbance will also be felt in Visayas, and some parts of Luzon this weekend as it moves closer to the country.
PAGASA said, if this will develop into a tropical cyclone, it will take a northwestern direction and may enhance the southwest monsoon as it heads to the north.
