Topic: HELP! Vista can't connect wirelessly while XP can

Once upon a time, everything was working fine. I have a PLDT DSL connection with 768 kbps upstream 512kbps downstream connection in my room. The DSL is shared via hub connected to another room and another wireless router connected to that room to my lobby via hub. Everything was working fine, everybody was happy viewing their friendster account, downloading their favorite scandals. Some using desktop PCs others wirelessly in their laptops running XP or Vista OS.

Until one day...PLDT DSL agent announces an updrade for our connection from 768kps to 3.5mbps. I was very thrilled thinking of how many scandals I can download from espiya.net with that speed. So the PLDT guy went here, change my Modem (Zykel P-600 Series) since he said the old modem is not compatible with that speed.Upon installing, I quickly rush opening my PC testing my connection speed and smiled seeing the meter going up to 3.5mbps.

When the DSL guy went away I quickly open espiya.net with massive speed. My wired network works perfectly fine. So as the wireless connection, only with one small problem...Those who are connecting wirelessly using Windows Vista OS can't. They view the wireless network (using WPA pass) but won't be able to connect.

Tried it but I cant seem to connect in my wireless router via 192.168.2.1 which used to access it. I can access my DSL Modem via 192.168.1.1 ...Pls lead me the way

reset your router and reconfigure it again..

Actually nadedetect naman yung router via VISTA, strong ang signal, tama naman ang WPA key. Cannot connect lang ang lumalabas, sa XP wala nman ganung problem. Siguro nga try ko muna reset yung router na nakahang ngayon sa taas ng wall so kailangan ko pa magdala ng  hagdan.

sa office kc gang third floor, sa lobby nya open, hmmm parang nagtipid ko sa router kasi gang taas umaabot yung signal kung medyo itaas ko sya sa wall plus for safety reasons na din na di maabot ng malilikot.

Hahaha I was thinking of a very complicated solution, turned out that I just have to turn off the goddamn network firewall in that laptop that is using some Symantec security. Thanks bro...
