eto ha ating... navy.... na I think tulad ng air force ay almost non-existent... though may mga barko nga tayo kaya lang mga halos mula pa sa early post-world war or mga 1950's pa though we have some newer ones built during the 80's yet it intrigues me na may gawa ba tlga ang ating naval forces para maprotektahan tayo??? pokepoints nman ^^

i agree on this. this time our armed forces dont need warships. yes they need, but not our priority this time. Jus imagine, until now marami paring sundalo na kulang sa mga basic na kagamitan. Like boots, medical kit, helmet, armor vest, newer rifle, ammo, etc…

Meron ba kayo alam sino dapat kausapin sa Philippine Navy to make a proposal to build these naval vessels natin?  I am willing to syndicate the funds for this at maski wala bayad ang trabaho.  Who is willing to help me?  I have an idea how we can do this.  It is just very pathetic that we are an archipelago, wala tayo barko to defend our country in case Malaysia or Indonesia decides to just attack us one day.

in terms of war, malabo na mapondohan natin yan.. tama, search and rescue muna saka yung mga speedboat para dun sa mga mangingisda ng china, taiwan and malaysia para madali mahuli ng coast guard natin kapag pumasok sa teritoryo.. pagka war kasi pinag usapan eh magsusumbong lang tayo kay Uncle Sam eh... si Uncle naman magpapadala ng aircraft carrier na naka deploy pinaka malapit sa atin.. hahaha...

The navy does not need to frigates, cruisers, or destroyers. Corvettes are good that are made in South Korea. Fast attack crafts also that are armed with misslles are good for naval defense.

we need good intel to protect our waters taking into account we do not have enough naval asets.

1) improve our intel like stationary radars scattered around the islands and naval lookouts
2) buy radar ships which can also be use for weather forcasting   
3) buy ships like corvettes good for a coastal navy only but missile / torpedo firing
4) search and rescue ships, to double as hospital ships
5) transport ships since we are archipelago , we need to transport soldiers where they are needed
