tv tuner to laptop, can it be?

my question is can you connect a tv tunner box sa  laptop?

nasira tv ko. gusto ko sana ikabit nalang direcho sa laptop. my laptop has the video port(ano tawag dun? vga port ba yun?) wala lang sha ung bilog na video port. pwede kaya? may nakasubok na sa inyo?

May nakita ako na USB TV tuner sa PC Options. Sabi ng saleslady plug and play lang daw yon.  May kabitan ng cable.  Para siyang malaking flashdrive.  Nakalimutan ko yung exact price pero less than P2,000.  Hope this helps.

sabi dun sa features, "not compatible with any laptop"..so yung specific na device na yun ehh hindi pwede ikabit sa laptop..

pero pwede as long as input yung tinutukoy mo na video port (S-video yun) and capable sya for capture.. para bang capture card.. it comes with a software parang encoder..dun sa software na yun, dun ka pwede mag-select ng specific input..

or kung ang laptop mo ay may coax input...for sure pwede..actually, ang kasamang mga port sa capture card is, coax (cable), s-video, composite video saka 3.5mm stereo audio..

eto ang pwede sayo, di pwede yung video in, vga port na out lang yung sinasabi mo na meron sa laptop mo.

parang maganda nga yang usb type.. pero meron akong kinalikot kagabi.
lamnyo yung mga tv na hindi cable ready? yung parang box na ikakabit sa tv para dun ka lilipat ng channel. nakahanap ako nun sa bahay then binutingting ko ung portable dvd player ko with small lcd.. ayun, nakapanod ako cable. may tv uli ako kaso maliit lang :D


pci is yung card diba? wala ako nun sa laptop e. maybe i'll try the usb type. sana matibay...

theoretically it should still work since laptops are similar to desktop, the only difference is madaling dalhin ang laptop and iba ang processor (built for mobile). also, the requirements for that item should also be present in the laptop (OS, RAM, HDD space, etc)
