pwedeng pwede

yan ang setup namin actually, five computers nakakabit sa switch and the switch is connected to the router. AND the router is connected to the modem router of the ISP.

Dapat from Net -----> Router --------> Hub

Then ung hub mo naman ay kung meron 8 ports, ung isa don ay para din don sa router mo and the remaining 7 ports of your hub are for your PC.

makikita mo naman ung icon sa bottom right ng desktop mo kung naka unplug or limited or no connectivity sya.

check mo through stand alone. connect the smart bro in 1 pc. don mo malalaman kung me problem sa lan card or sa os ng pc mo. kapag gumana. try to connect the smart bro in your router then connect the 1st pc in router. check mo kung gagana. kapag gumana, ganon din gawin mo sa hub. iconnect mo ung hub sa router. pag naconnect mo ung hub sa router, connect mo ung pc sa hub. and test mo.

If the PCs connnected directly to the router works but not the PCs connected on the hub.  Try the following:

Solution 1:
Did you plug the cable coming from the router to the uplink port of the hub?  Kasi some older hubs have a dedicated uplink with a button (next to it) na dapat naka-toggle on.  The newer ones, especially switches have auto-uplink that auto senses and auto-negotiate the speed of the ports.

Solution 2:
Also is the cable good from router to hub?  Check both connectors or try it on a working PC.

Solution 3:
Small chance, kung walang  uplink button or DIP switch yung hub o kaya hindi siya auto-uplink sensing, baka kailangan mo ng cross-over cable.  You can make your own using existing straight-patch cables (if you have the tools --> wirecutter, stripper, crimping tool, spare RJ-45 connectors & a steady hand; do only one end!) o kaya nabibili sa computer store.  You can also undo it as long as you are familiar with the wire-mapping on both and have spare RJ-45 connectors.  Pag-sanay ka na, you can do this under 2-minutes on each connector.  First timers will take bout 20-30 minutes to do it correctly.

Hope this helps.

What is the difference in internet speed when a pc is connected directly to a hub? router? Are there?
