for General Purpose PC - good processor with at least 512 mb RAM and 128mb VC,
generic mouse, keyboard and speakers, cheap (but quality) MOBO and at least 15" monitor.

basahin mo yung Specs na binigay ko, palitan mo nlng yung BOARD at processor ng Sempron 2.8/3.0Ghz tapos ang MOBO ay ASROCK or redfox. it will reduce upto 3,000 compare sa Pentium D.

I find it hard to build a PC worthy of being called a "gaming rig"  for 15k.. hehe... niwei eto sugestion ko .. mejo lampas nga lng sa buget.. yung 18k ang buget, I suggest you save a bit more and get this.. hehe..

ako rin, patulong naman sa paggawa ng pc specs. nagcrash na ang 4yr old desktop ko so i need a new one. my budget is 15k for processor, mobo, ram, video card and casing. usable pa kasi yung mga HD, monitor, CD Drives and other peripherals from my old pc. also, im torn between a core 2 duo or the amd x2. parang ang mhal kasi ng core 2 duo, ok ba ang value for money nun? or should i just stick to the x2? thanks sa mga feedback!

btw, for gaming, (para lang mapatakbo ng maayos ang starcraft2), and internet use lang.

Check mo ung specs na binigay ko.. tangalin mo nlng ung mga hndi mo kailangan..

About X2 and C2D.. parang at the lower end mas ok ang X2.. pero hindi ko din masabi.. may mga murang C2D narin ngaun.. Hindi ko lng alam kung ano ang perfomance nila compared sa similarly priced X2.. Pero I heard that the C2D E4400 @ stock speed is just as good as an X2 4400+.. I dont know kng totoo nga.. pero kng totoo at wala k nmn balak mag OC tingin ko mas sulit ang X2.. mas mura kasi.. However at the higher end parang mas ok na mag C2D k nlng.. For example ung E6750 at X2 6000+, wala pang 1k ang difference sa price at lamang ang E6750 sa performance, idagdag mo pa na mas maganda ang overclocking potential ang C2D..

sa gilmore ako bumili. itong specs ko na to bumaba na price since last visit ko website nila.
pero baka din hindi updated un website nila. last time kasi nun my demo windows vista sa sm mall of asia nagbigay sila ng high end pc's in 12 installments yata. 2000++ per month. just read the news papers minsan meron ganun

Guys suggestion ko lang sa mga gusto mag setup ng new PC lalu yung mga nakapili na ng specs. Mag canvass muna kayo. Pag ako kasi ng seset ng bago gnagawa ko gagawa ko ng list then dadalhin ko sa isang pwesto then papa quote ko, then after lipat naman ako sa kabilang pwesto papakita ko yung quotation ng kabila, madalas binababaan nila tapos ulit ulitin nyo lang.
