hay buti na lang na solve na ung problem ko sa router.... pero me bago ulit akong tanong....

yun pong from router to hub... me configuration pa po ba??

internet-modem-router-switch-computers.... ganyan po ung set up di ba??

and yun pong mga cables na nakakabit sa router puede ko na po bang ikabit sa hub??
me settings pa po ba akong gagawin?? kasi ung router eh up to 4 port lang..

straight through gamitin mo sa lahat

tapos kung na ka dynamic
release / renew ka lng ng private add

kung static

assign mo lng private add. mo.....

Kung pwede mo gawing DHCP Server a Modem mo (Modem Router).

DSL Modem -> Switch -> Work Station PC...

tska wag ka na gumamit ng hub, switch nlng.. wala na gumagamit ng hub ngayon. ;D

switch is also a hub but a newer version... its also called switch hub

main difference with the old hub (simply called hub) is that pag switch hub gamit mo, each user can experience the full speed of the connection. pag hub lang, automatic hati agad

example, merong 3 pc's attached to 512kbps connection

pag switch gamit mo, each of those pc's can have a max of 512kbps (ang switch na ang bahala mag allocate according to the needs of each pc)

pag hub gamit mo, automatic, divide by 3 yung 512kbps. so kahit na walang ginagawa yung dalawang pc na internet related, yung internet speed ng third pc will only be a max of 1/3 of 512kbps

thats why wala na gumagamit ng hub ngayon. puro na switch

tama po ba ung ginawa ko,, lahat ng mga cables straight lahat ??

modem---straight---router---straight---switch----straight--- mga pc's....

& yung pong 3 extra slots sa router ( kasi po ung isang slot eh kinabit ko po papunta naman doon sa switch kaya 3 slots na lang po ang natira ) eh puede po bang kabitan din ng straight cables papunta rin sa mga pc's??
