H> computer CU vacuum/blower and UPS
« on: January 24, 2011, 09:45:53 pm »
Mga ka kapatid.

Patulong sana ako anong recommended Control Unit (commonly called as CPU) vacuum or  blower ba?
Anong brand at yung price range.

Maraming salamat.

for UPS - higher VA, longer time before it shuts off. the typical 500-1000VA is good for around 10-15min IF ang nakakabit is yung PSU and monitor lang. siguro mga 1500-2000VA will be enough for 30min

for vacuum/blower. hindi ko gaano gets. magkaiba kasi yung dalawa. vacuum, is for sucking dirt, blower is well blowing the dirt. opposite kasi. ano ba purpose? para matanggal ang dumi? if so, then vacuum is not recommended. baka maloosen pa ang mga capacitors dahil sa pressure ng suction ng vaccum. pwede na blower (yung air compressor) BUT usually ginagawa to pag off ang computer. tanggalin ang side panels, then use the air compressor to blow off the dirt

kung gusto mo matanggal ang alikabok sa mga fan, use machine oil (i.e. singer oil). tanggalin mo ang fan, apply machine oil, ikutin ang fan until lumambot ang ikot. hindi matatanggal ang dumi sa vaccum or blower since matigas na yun so dapat tunawin muna para matanggal.

for extreme cleaning and if you can afford not to use the computer for like 3-5 days, you can wash the entire motherboard and let it dry. BUT eto ang medyo delikado dito, it HAS to be completely dry before you can put it back on. ginagawa lang to usually pag sobrang dumi na talaga. very seldom ito ginagawa and personally i have only done it two times in over 10 or so years

i think ang itinatanong nya kung vacuum or blower is yung case fan. kung alin mas effective kung pabuga ba palabas (vacuum) or papasok ang hangin (blower) sa mga books and comp school, ang itinuturong mas effective way of cooling a CPU is vacuum.

plus kung blower type kasi, mas malakas magka-alikabok ang loob ng cpu. kahit na ba may filter ka pa, high maintenance ang blower type since palagi mong kailangan linisin ang filter

about the blower or vacuum.. what im asking is to dust off po yung mga alikabok sa loob ng unit.. may nabasa kasi ako na pag vacuum it gives more static than blowers which may harm the electrical components.

@bod what im planning is to dust off first the unit and thanks for the info about the singer oil yun na din gagawin ko pag na dust off na ang unit. Does that oil conduct electricity Sir? should it be dried first before turning on the unit? I cant afford to do the air compressor. And i also cant afford to clean up my unit for 3 days, sobrang busy talaga. As much as possible dust off lang and then good to go. May nakita akong computer blower sa Ace Hardware pero 5k ang price. If i cant find another no choice na ako dun sa 5k.

Sa UPS ano ba marecommend mo na brand and model Sir bod? ok na sakin 15 minutes lang.

@tob thanks for the info narin dito Sir. I may have to check my fans din baka papasok lahat ang ikot ng fans.

syempre need mo wipe off yung oil since basa yung fan. just wipe it off, no need to completely dry it out. if you have a dc power unit that is 12V (yung mga tester na gamit sa mga electrical shops for example), you can let the fan turn para matanggal yung oil BUT keep it close to cloth or wall or kung ano man para yung oil na matanggal dun masasalo sa cloth

hindi pa naman ata ganun ka severe yung problema ng unit mo. so hindi mo na siguro need ng machine to blow away the dirt, paypayan mo nalang or whatever para mabawasan yung alikabok sa mobo. for the fan, linisin mo lang until malambot na ulit ang ikot ng fan ok na yun
