Topic: Unable to save my display setting: Help

mga ka-espiya, eto po problem ko  ngayon. Ang laptop ng aunt ko ay hindi nagrun ng yahoo messenger, as a result pina-ayos niya sa isang computer shop dito sa Iligan City. Sa katangaan ba naman ng technician ay nag-offer sa kanya ng i-reformat nalang and because wala siyang alam so pinareformat niya. Inexchange nya ang genuine windows7 nya sa pirated windows7 para lang sa YM. Ito po ay ginawa 5 months ago, now, dahil vacation na, I had found out na ganun pala ang nangyari then hindi lahat ng drivers na-install dito sa laptop and worst ay hindi inayos ang video card. Naka PnP lang po ang vidcard and when I already downloaded and installed the true driver for this vidcard hindi po siya ma save sa display setting, so hanggang sa dxdiag nalang ang vidcard nya then ang default vidcard ay yung generic na 8mb. Btw, ang video card nya po ay ATI radeon hd5370. As a result now, hanggang popcap games nalang ako, di na pwede ang mga direct3d games and worst of all pirated na ang windows7 nya at pinakaworst of all, nawala ang windows7 genuine cd nya.

Ngayon, meron po akong dalawang tanong:
1. Paano ko po ma-save ang display setting na desired ko?
2. Ano po ba ang dapat gawin ko sa technician or kahit ang store kung saan siya nagpa-repair. Are there any legal actions that I can do? Ang store po na ito ay known po dito sa Iligan dahil marami na rin siyang branch dito sa Iligan.

Pa-help po mga ka-espiya. Na-awa lang po talaga ako sa ka-inosentehan ng aunt ko.

haba ng story mo sir but you failed to mention what laptop it is 

legal actions? i doubt sir, sayang lang time and money mo dun. And im pretty much sure this is just a simple thing.

you laptop has a Genuine Windows 7 Key sa ilalim. use that to activate your copy of Windows, kahit na ba pirated ang pinanginstall dyan as long as yung W7 Jey sa sticker sa ilalim ang gagamitin mo it should work so that your laptop works normally again

ok sir sa tingin ko this model is equipped "ECO Power Saving Function" = Fn+ F5 yun toggle mo lang sa gaming mode

it also has "GPU Boost Function" so you can choose from High Performance GPU or Power-Saving GPU Mode. Right-Click ka on your Desktop and select (Configure Switchable Graphics) so dun mo palitan to High Performance

i dont have one but i just read off the manual from MSI since i did suspect na may power saving mode ung laptop

Make sure na installed ung video card mo, check Device manager kung meron "bangs" or exclamation points. But since you mentioned na nadedetect naman sa dxdiag then mukang andun naman ung card. Ensure mo lang na may latest drivers ka ng video card mo, its also good if you can check MSI's Website for newest drivers but i would always recommend going to the manufacturer which is AMD/ATI for the drivers.

Minsan kc corporate license lang yun nasa sticker na un which doesn't work. Kung wala kang CD tapos ka, at kung nag reformat sila malamang e nabura na ung recovery partition (kung meron man). Alam ko pwede ka naman mag demand ng Operating System CD from MSI. Its part of the EULA ng Microsoft.

bab, mukhang di corporate license yata to dahil private use lang to at binili lang sa duty free yata. Na try kong magright cllick sa desktop pero wala akong makitang configure switchable graphics. Pero sa ATI catalyst control center meron pero di ko rin ma enable kagaya rin sa display properties na di pwede ma save ang setting. Ahh ok pwede pala magdemand ng OS sa MSi. Paano po yun pwede po ba yun through customer support nila?

I mean yung sa sticker na prinoprovide nila usually corporate license un from Microsoft as an OEM product. You can request, kaso pag ganun nga since you mentioned na provided na un with the system at nawala lang mangyayare e sasabhn nila kasalanan nyo. Try mo na lang tanung procedure from their cust service panu humingi ng software copy.

regarding dun sa issue pa rin check mo dito sa manual chapter 3, try mo muna install chipset and vga drivers nla sa website. d rin kc ako familiar sa utilities nila
