Topic: Windows XP Clients on Windows 7 Server - Will there be a problem or conflict?

Mga ka-espiyang mga PC tech, ask ko lang po kung magkakaroon ba ng problema yung itatayo kong net cafe kung ang OS ng Server ko ay Windows 7 then XP yung mga Workstations? Need your opinion on this. thanks..

feeling ko sir hindi kasi mag mimeet naman cla, and sa workgroup same parin ata cla,

nasa modem/router parin naman cla

opinion ko lang to.

yup should be no problem as long as they are in the same workgroup/domain/subnet/ip range and there is a connection between them all, then it will run fine

di ako sure, pero yong timer di ako sigurado kong tatakbo sa windows 7

i have no problem with the timer..


eto lang problem na encounter ko.

       yung mga shared folders ko sa XP workstations makikita ko sa Server ko(win7), now kung nasa workstation ako try ko access yung Shared folder ko sa win7, di ko ma access kelangan daw admin pass ba yun. ala naman ako nilagay password, siguro may solusyon dito.


anyways yung mga gusto ko i share na files from Windows7(server) nilalagay ko na lang sa C:\Users\Public\Public Documents. naa-access ko naman yng files.

so yun lang nakikita ko maliit na problem.

control panel look for network and sharing center on your left side hanapin mo ang " advanced sharing settings "

turn on mo yung "  network discovery " at " file and printer sharing " and also turn off  " password protected sharing ".
