Saudi national posing as pilot breaches NAIA security

MANILA, Philippines - A 19-year-old Saudi national was arrested for breaching security at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 by posing as an airline pilot





And I thought they have beefed up security measures!!!!!!!

ha!? l saw this news?

they have good security l have been there couple of times nahuli nga di ba? sana huwag na natin e exaggerate ang situation nahuli na which means the security is effective  8)

with due respect, breaching doesn't mean not getting caught.  its similar to trespassing where one gains unlawful entry, in this case the perp posed as a pilot.  in this regard, he was able to gain access somewhere where normal people (e.g. those not privileged) would not have access to.  sa security kasi there usually would be layers of protection.  lets say a four-prong or four-level security set-up, it is expected that the first or outer level would already deter intrusion, however if someone penetrates thru that level and is trying to gain access to the second level and got caught, the security is said to be breached, irregardless of whether the intruder gained access thru all the four protections.  in which case, a debriefing and accessment of the whole system is conducted to see the flaws that was exploited by the perpetrator.  most likely, what was used by the pilot was the "social engineering" approach.

ganun din ang setup ng PSG, many layers of protection.  ever read of such sorry news of people unknowingly getting snarled in the convoy of the president and muscled off-road?  well, they just got a taste of the psg's perimeter boys.  you have not necessarily gone straight through the president, but such incidents would warrant a review of their protocol para hindi na maulit muli.  in their books, everytime they go out of malacanang with the president, etc., pag may nangyaring kahit anong aberya, kahit gaano kaliit, is a sign na may flaws yung security setup nila.

Ito ang naging katanungan ng Airport officials nang masakote ang isang Saudia Arabian national  na ilang oras nagpaikot-ikot sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at hindi agad nasita dahil nakasuot ng unipormeng pampiloto.

Aktwal na nangyayari ito NAIA Terminal 1 nang makalusot sa mahigpit na seguridad ng paliparan ang isang 19-anyos Saudian national  na nakasuot pa ng uniporme ng piloto nang sitahin at arestohin sa loob ng Terminal 1 Immigration arrival area.

Kinilala ang suspek na si Mohamed Abdulah Hani Bokhari  ng Kingdom of Saudi Arabia na nabatid na anim na oras nanatili at nag-ikot sa loob ng Terminal 1  departure at arrival area suot ang uniporme ng piloto

Unang napuna sa CCTV camera ang ilang beses na maling  pagdaan ni Bokhari sa mga passenger movement area na hindi dinaraanan ng mga airline crew.

Sa inisyal na interogasyon, dakong 11:00 a.m. nitong Lunes nang dumating sa NAIA Terminal 1  ang suspek para sunduin umano ang kanyang ama sa Saudi Airline na isa ring retiradong piloto ng nasabing eroplano.

Pasado 5:00 pm nang dumating ang eroplano at sa loob ng anim na oras ginawang pasyalan ni Bokhari ang restricted area ng departure at arrival area.

Papalabas na  siya ng arrival area nang arestohin at isailalim sa imbestigasyon  ng Bureau of Immigration, Airport police at ng Philippine National Police.

Dito napag-alaman na si Bokhari ay  isang overstaying alien at kasalukuyang nag-aaral sa isang flying school sa Maynila.

Lumutang din ang kapatid ng suspek na si Mohamad Abdulahh Bokhari, isang aktibong kawani ng Saudi Airline.

Ipinaliwanag ni Bokhari na wala siyang kasalanan dahil tuwing sisitahin siya umano ay kanyang ipinakikita ang kanyang identification card bilang isang dependent ng retiradong piloto ng saudi airline

Aniya, hindi siya umano nagpanggap na piloto at ang layunin niya ay salubungin lamang ang kanyang ama na dumating ng bansa.  Nakikipag-ugnayan rin ang MIAA sa US Embassy upang alamin kung miyembro ng kilabot na terrorist group na Al Qaeda si Bokhari.

sa aking palagay, maganda itong mga nangyayaring ganito para laging "alert" ang mga kinauukulan.  remember yung "glorietta bombing kuno".  same guy that you see on the link below "breached" a mall with all the necessary materials to make a bomb.  he did it by passing thru the routine checks of the mall's security.  sampal yan sa security agency, hence, naghigpit lalo.   ;D

dagdag ko lang, baka ma-misinterpret. yung kanyang "pag-breach" ay in coordination sa mga pulis.  they are checking on the abilities of the mall's security to deter such act.  ayun, sablay.
