Usually netbeans is used in for programing mobile games. Java ME

wanna learn java. oh well, hope you have heard about "jedi notes" by sang shin. kasi sa tutoo lang ang mga java programmers na solid eh hindi gumagamit ng ide nung nag simula. pure notepad. pag natutunan mo lahat sa notepad eh magegets mo na kung pano gamitin ang netbeans. kasi lahat ng terminologies ng netbeans, ibmwebsphere, eclipse and many more eh magiging familiar ka. IDE is just a drag and drop approach to you and codding is your best friend for customization and you'll know where it ends.

anyway, answering your question is to start with jedi notes by sang shin. Kahit mag aral ka kasi sa UPITTC and many more crash courses eh jedi notes ang babagsakan mo. pero pag pumunta ka sa javapassion.com eh makikita mo ang original na jedi notes na nagtuturo din ng netbeans at non-ide approach at magiging familiar ka.
