Meron na silang fair usage policy which means kapag na reach mo ung maximum usage mo babagal na ang net mo! unlimited padin pero in a lower slower slower slower speed so fck. and sa mga heavy user jan sobrang nakakainis to... now napakabagal ng internet ko... if 15gb lang ang pwedeng download per month baka wala pa ngang 15 days of surfing/online gaming ubos na yang 15gb na yan eh! Sa america ganito ang policy ng mga Internet provider but they give a 150-200GB per user a month... sobra sobra un for 1month use kaya ok lang... nakakabullshit to...

yep its called Fair Usage, and its been there for YEARS(its not new), di lang kasi ikaw ang gumagamit ng Broadband so bigyan mo rin pagkakataoon gumamit ng internet ang ibang tao, kung wala Fair Usage policy lahat Online kaya lahat mabagal... wala ding saysay diba?

also take note sa mga wireless broadband yang 7.2mbps is max speed AND shared speed. so kung marami kayo gumagamit sa area niyo eh di hati hati na yung 7.2mbps. eh MAX na yun sa buong area niyo so thats why minsan ang speed mo sobrang bagal na, thats because sobrang dami na gumagamit and pinagkakasya niyo ang 7.2mbps (which is less than 1MB/s) among all users
sa globe naman yung limit na 800mb/day only applies to prepaid. im pretty sure its not applicable to postpaid (or kung meron man its a lot bigger - parang 5GB/day ata)

imagine a highway and the cars are DATA, can you imagine the more Cars/Data there is the more congested the highway becomes and the traffic would start to slow down to a crawl
as i said aside from Cellular Data dumadaan din sa Cell Towers and Cellular Calls and Cellular Texts which are the priority use of the cell towers, limiting data traffic also prevents problems with calls and texts

Sir my friend ask... he is using Smartbro, connection are still good lately until pinatupad nga tong policy na to... medyo sumama daw ang connection now... so nag babalak sya mag palit ng internet provider kc nag lilimit sya ng bandwidth dahil sa dami ng nagamit sa shop nauubos ang max usage nia, so sobrang bagal ng net nagrereklamo na mga customer...
Sir 6 computers lang nmn ang shop nia... so pwede ba siya mag PLDT plan999? may limit po ba ng computer units ang pwede kabitan ng PLDT? or pwede itago muna ung 5units para kunyari hindi shop ung kakabitan? sir Any suggestion kc i dont have idea about sa PLDT policy... tnx po

1) you know very well HACKING is not allowed in Espiya
2) WALA way within your PC or Network, nasa ISP mo ang monitoring and throttling capabilities
3) the only one who can speed up your net or modify your monthly limit is your ISP
Bandwidth Disabling na link mo is a for Windows Updating and other tasks your PC does that connects it to MS Servers

I Feel the same bro.. 4 days na akong 20kbps usually ang na e experience ko dati once malapit na ang katapusan ng buwan nagpuputol putol ang connection ko, pero ngayon ko lang naranasan ang 20 kbps na speed sa tagal kunang subscriber. Hindi tuloy ako makapag stream anyway siguro dapat din magbayad muna ng monthly bill. ;D
Ang pinagtataka ko lang kung ang policy na yan ay nag effect sakin umayos ayos ang smartbro kasi ngayong buwan na ito lagi akong busy at puro surf lang halos ang ginagawa ko at stream.

you realize STREAMING is the same as Downloading the only thing is you dont save the copy of whatever video or music you stream but play it in realtime
when you stream your PC sends out request to the File Host Server which Streams the Data to your PC as if youre downloading what your watching, how did you think videos and music play on your PC? Magic?
all streaming including Youtube, Dailymotion and PORN consumes your monthly data allowance

even Wireless Broadband Services sa US they THROTTLE down speeds to 2g passed the data allowance plan you get

Ito ba yung Smartbro, kasi may nababasa ako sa internet na paraan para "makikabit" sa connection ng iba nang walang pahintulot sa nagbabayad ng internet connection. Ang masama dito, bumabagal ang connection ng legit user dahil tina-throttle yung connection ng account dahil parang nade-detect na malaki yung bandwidth na ginagamit.

nope PLDT will remain free form DATA CAPS because PLDT is WIRED, services with DATA CAPs and FUPs are Wireless broadband providers, they use that to prevent congestion and allow all users to use optimum speed(for the plan they pay for) internet

From 240kbps DL speed sa IDM, naging 20 - 30kbps, saktong pangload ng average sized na webpage. I'm looking for a new ISP now na DSL, been a smartbro subscriber for 6 yrs ++.
Yun lang.. Wag naman sana.. Hindi naman ako mag Smartbro kung may line na ng DSL sa lugar namin. No choice lang kami ng mga kapitbahay ko kaya kami nag smart. PLDT kasi, dapat daw may 15 na bahay na magpapakabit para lagyan kami ng line at ang huling balit namin eh sagot namin yung wire na gagamitin papasok sa lugar namin. Malas lang kapag nadamay yung sakin, MagSstart pa naman ang TI3 sa august! hehe..

Ayun nag CAP narin smartbro ko kagabe lang. Tinawag ko sa hotline nila at ang mga tanga, walang masagot sakin kung ano bang limit talaga. System lang daw magdedecide, eh wala pa naman akong dinadownload ngayon month. Stream oo, pero hindi naman aabot ng 1gb yung streaming ko. Buti ngayon nila ginawa to sakin, cut off ng bayaran, hindi ko tuloy babayaran to... mga @#$#$% nila. hahaha! badtrip. Ni hindi makapagbrowse ng maayos.

Ok na sya... since Magkaiba ng Mac and pc at router.. bumalik sa dati yung speed ko.. laffman:: so parang 2 pc ako per month.. ewan ko kung gagana na papalitan ko yung MAC nung router.. try ko na lang pag nag CAP na ulit to..

wala nga dsl sa area di ba? kaya nga nagwireless? saka kung ibibase sa advertisements nila,dapat mas mabilis kahit kaunti man lang ang connection. ikaw kung kaya mo magterabytes over terabytes eh di good for you. kung wala kang magandang ikucomment gamitin mo na lang iyang terabytes over terabytes mo sa ibang bagay at huwag ka na lang magyabang dito kasi nakakapang init ka lang ng ulo para sa aming pinipilit gamitin ang pangmobile use para sa home internet.
