Questions about Unlocked 4th Core

1. bat nga pala hindi lumilitaw yung LVL 3 CACHE?
2. okay lang ba yung specs ko para ma suportahan yung pang 4th core? di ba kakapusin or matakaw sa wattage?
3. any tips?
4. ano side effects na mga karaniwang na encounter niyo after niyong ma unlocked yung CPU niyo?

here my specs kakabili ko lang niyan last saturday cost me around 17.6k using Credit card:

hi kaka unlock ko rin sa akin last sunday.. so far ok naman and with regards sa wattage mas matakaw cya based dun sa utility software bundled. kapag naka naka x4 ako mataas talga while on x2 its ok naman..

i am using AMD Athlon x2 555 BE 3.2GHhz

Nice specs katulad na katulad dun sa pinapabuo ng isang ka spies.
***matakaw talaga ang more cores kasi more resources to supply with.
***duno about sa L3 Cache since intel ako - tingin ko physical limitation na ata talaga ng procie mo(why not try using other utilities like CPU-Z or Lavalys's Everest - mas me tiwala ako sa mga to)
***kayang-kaya ng hardware mo procie.You have sa nice psu with you.80Plus from a nice OEM company.
***sana stable yung 4th core mo me times kasi na kaya nila ginawang 3 cores kasi medyu lemon yung isang core.

1. try mo icheck sa cpu-z. i'm sure lilitaw yan. hindi lang siguro visible jan sa gamit mo ngayon.
2. ok yang specs mo basta true rated psu mo no problem.
3. tips about what? kung OC gusto mo taasan mo yung FSB. sure ako aangat yan sa 3.4GHz ng walang kahirap hirap. wag mo nga lang taasan yung CPU voltage mo. pati kung plano mo rin mag OC, bili ka na din ng aftermarket cpu cooler. after mo rin pala unlock ng 4th core istress test mo jan sa AMD overdrive mo for at least 6hrs. ngayon kung mag crash yung app, sad to say hindi stable yung 4th core.
4. side effects? macho performance!! wala naman "side-effect" na dapat ialala. oo mas "malakas" sa kuryente pero malamang hindi yun noticeable.

Kung athlon yan wala tlgang L3 cache yan supposedly. Even though it will say sa CPUz na Phenom sya (nalilito ung board kung anung CPU sya pero nilable na lang na Phenom), but physically the chip is an athlon so no chance of having an L3 cache

kung na unlock mo ung ibang cores try mo mg stress test. minsan kc kahit unlocked d pa rin sya stable with an unlocked core

anyways good job unlocking  toast::

ako ata yung tinutukoy mo sa "Please Check this out" na title ba yun? ako din yun. eto na ginagamit kong username ngayon eh. hehehe

kasama sa installer yung AMD overdrive na yun eh. kaka install ko lang ng CPU Z. uninstall ko na ba yung AMD Overdrive ko? ano yun CPU cooler? yun ba yung fan ng CPU? bago lang kasi eh sayang naman kung papalitan ko kaagad. baka mamaya i stress out ko to using Prime95 "Blend Test". sabi sa isang forum at least 24 hours daw eh. anyway lalakas ba kuryente namin pag ganto na pc ko?

alam ko na problem bakit walang L3 cache yan sir. Propus core yan kaya wala talagang L3 cache. Hindi sya "binned" deneb core kaya hanggang 4th core lang unlock. still, oks pa rin yan kung stable man ang 4th core mo.

*propus -- eto yung native athlon ii's. built sila na walang l3 cache.
*deneb -- eto yung phenom line. merong l3 cache.

yung mga ibang athlon ii e nagkulang dati sa supply kaya ang ginamit sa kanila deneb cores kaya naka "lock" lang yung l3 cache, and minsan 3rd and 4th core. madalas naman defective yung mga deneb cores na yun example defective yung l3 cache sa pag manufacture so imbis na itapon, bini-bin nila yung defective module at binebenta as equivalent parts ng phenom (deneb) nila as athlon (propus). another example rin e defective yung 4th core kaya binebenta as phenom ii x3, and so on... yung iba naman (pag sinuwerte) e sajang naka bin lang yung modules at fully working talaga. kaya meron jan (tulad ko happy hehehe) na nakaka unlock at fully stable.

saken athlon fx-5000 dual-core 2.2GHz unlocked to phenom fx-5000 quad-core OCed to 3.0GHz.

pano po ba i OC tong CPU ko? yun na lang kasi hindi ko ginagawa eh. pero nag prime95 blend test na ako for 24 hours. sabi nila pwede daw gawing 3.4ghz tong CPUko. how to OC this? anyway nice CPU. 2 cores na unlock wow 3ghz pa lol

Pwede mo gamitin un AMD Overdrive kung gs2 mo. Pwede mo rin mano-mano sa BIOS. adjust mo lang ung sa HT ref clock or kung unlocked ung multiplier adjust mo ung multiplier. Pa unti unti ka lang mag dagdag, maybe 10 mhz first tapos pa 5 increments na lang, test mo palagi kung stable muna. Pag d kinaya baka kelangan mo ng voltage bump. Adjustable lahat ng yan sa BIOS

Na try mo na ba i adjust vcore voltage mo pag naka unlock ung 4th core. Then check if there are any differences

sa bios, maliliit na increment until makita mong stable. usually +10 or 20 millivolts lang.
