Help: Upgrading
« on: December 06, 2010, 09:36:21 am »

If 10 kg budget mo i suggest getting an AMD setup.
Get the ff:
1. Athlon X2 245 Dual Core at 2.9GHz for 2.5K brand new
2. ECS 780G mobo at around 2.7K brand new( i dont suggest other chipset(nvidia onboard) since no-onboard vid can beat para saken sa 780G and up models - can render great graphics)
or if me pera ka go for the latest 880G models choose MSI or Asus nasa 3.8K to 4K php
3. FSP Supersonic series 550W 80Plus certified(cheapest high efficiency psu) at 1.9k brandnew dont settle for cheap psu na kasama sa case.
4. Wester Digital Caviar Blue 500Gig HD at 1.8K brandnew
5. Case bahala kana
math: 2.5k+2.7k+1.9k+1.8K+case(cheapest at 1.2k example)=10k to 10.1K swak.....
Look for brand new = 2 years minimum warranty ang mga parts na yan so no worries masira = instant palit yan.
Those prices are based sa PCHub Gilmore.
Im a regular customer na din dyan hehehe what i like sa store na yun is they honor manufacturing warranties and pwede ka magpatulong.Maganda support nila in PC troubleshooting sa 3rd floor nila free of charge basta me store warranty.

i forgot the rams ahaha
pero good thing here is there is a headroom for upgrades.
i had 1 pc na 780G 1st na labas still doing great after 3 years kaya mga online games etc.
add kana lg rams ddr2 lg yan cost mga 1k for 2gig sticks.
para saken mistake yung mg invest sa low profile na cards like earlier posted.almost same lg yan ng performance ng
780G chipset built-in sa mobo.

Swak sa budget mo and ECS pinaka konti feature na mobo pero quality neto is very very very good meron ako
neto 5yr old na na mobo grabe pa din sa performance until binenta ko for an upgrade.
2gig ka lg muna na ram since tight budget mo if me pera kapa try 4 gig.
And pls buy psu na 80plus certified mas tipid sa kuryente since mataas efficiency.FSP is a very good OEM.
And pls do not try hybrid crossfire like sa plan mo - hindi mo masyado ramdam ang upgrade ganyan din ginawa ko before.
downside icoconsume pa nya some of your ram.
i suggest buying these cards HD3850,HD3870,HD4830,HD4850 and HD4770 cost 2.5k to 4k pero wala kana masabi.trust me.

Buy at least 550 watts and look for the "80Plus" seal of accreditation.Medyu costly ang mga to but in the long run higher efficiency = more savings sa electricity.
I gave you FSP 550Watts non modular 80Plus na sya at 1.8K at PCHub at Gilmore sa harap ng st. Paul's....
the cheapest quality psu right now.

Ok din emaxx 2 of my friends have that board pero i'd rather buy Asus and gigabyte or MSI since proven na durable and maganda bios ng mga to.
If wala 780G mobo, try mo 785G or 790G or 890G or the latest 880G na code pero after ng 785G na series expect na mas mahal na mga yun.research pre and see the specs ng mobo basta you have already the idea what chipset to look for.

I suggest brands like Asus MSI Gigabyte as much as possible.
pero honestly lahat ng mobo matitibay na since all uses HIGH grade capacitors which is the weakest part sa mobo
in my opinion.

EMX-AMD780G-ACC
http://www.emaxxtech.com/products.php?id=23

EMX-AMD780G-PRO
http://www.emaxxtech.com/products.php?id=8

EMX-AMD780G-PRO+
http://www.emaxxtech.com/products.php?id=18

To widen your option:
As im advicing you to avoid Emaxx as much as possible:
785G chipset better than 780G
Asus M4A785D-M PRO = 3.4k php
Asus M4A78LT-M LE = 3.050k php
Asus M4A88T-M = 4k php
ECS A785GM-A Black Edition = 3k php
ECS A785GM-AD3 AMD 785 (black edition) = 3.850k php
MSI 880GM-E43 = 3.860k php
MSI 785GM-E51 = 3.850k php
MSI 785G-E53 = 4.050k php
Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H = 4.110k php

These are the cheapest option you have.
Newer chipsets like the 880G supports only DDR3 rams so be carefull baka me ram kana dyan pero DDR2
at maisaksak mo = happy new year ka ng maaga haha basta iba ang DDR3 sa DDR2 hindi sila backward compatible.
pg DDR2 ram mo DDR2 dapat mobo mo ok?
I suggest ECS or Gigabyte(Proud user ng Gigabyte here at ECS :D)

I dont think he will be needing an aftermarket cooler if he doesn't plan on OCing. I doubt he would get alarming temps if the case is well ventilated.

don't know what's the issue with emaxx since i have used ecs and emaxx.. one of my PC is using emaxx 790xtrm 24/7(brownout lang ang pahinga) so far no issues for almost 2 yrs+. pero since sabi nga ni TS limited budget lng cya so ang pinakamaganda na for him i think is 880 chips (ikaw na bahala kung ano ang mas ok na brand para sau-if you would ask me i prefer ASUS/MSI -cost around 3k+) since pa phase-out na rin ang ddr2.. so kung bibili ka lang din ng brand new mems u should get ddr3..
