http://ph.news.yahoo.com/dot-announces-tourism-campaign-pilipinas-tara-na-20110322-183700-797.html

"Following their controversial "Pilipinas, Kay Ganda" campaign, the Department of Tourism (DOT) has announced the new domestic campaign called "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" reports Yahoo Philippines.

DOT: Pilipinas, Tara Na!
Pilipinas: San tayo pupunta, DOT?
DOT: Dun sa... Teka, hah, gawa lang ako ng bagong slogan.

dapat english. wow.

majority of pinoys dont have budget to travel in the philippines.

well yung minority naman afford mag travel. its really not that expensive to travel actually. according to this link http://boracaydaily.wordpress.com/2011/04/01/boracay_tourist_march_2011/

62,970 visitors went to the island in March. Of the number, 39,615 were recorded as foreign visitors, while 23,355 are domestic ones. its usually not the case, madalas pa nga mas maraming locals kesa foreigners sa boracay. even more sa mga not as popular tourist spots sa pilipinas. so half of boracay's generated income came from local tourists.

now im not saying tama yung ginawa ng DOT infact palpak nga talaga yung bagong slogan. agree ako sa inyo na panget yung slogan im just saying na malaki rin ang kinikita sa local tourists.

Sec Lim should quit his position and his dot idiotics employees. Di na nadala!, local tourism ba ang pnmoromote nila? nagmahal ang produktong petrolyo, pamasahe, pagkain, toll fees, etc...magbabyahe pa???? we should stick at WOW Philippines or the local ads, "tara na, byahe tayo" mas gets pa yun ng mga simpleng pilipino bakit kailangan paalitan?

Pilipinas, Tara Na??? sounds like Boy Abunda talaga! "tara, usap tayogun:: gun:: gun:: gun::
mga bano talaga kayo!

This is something I dont get. Wow Philippines is great, why not just retain it. As the saying goes, if it aint broke, dont fix it.we should attract foreigners with an English slogan, not Filipino. Attracting foreigners rather than Filipinos will mean more dollars coming in.
