YM (and other programs) will usually use windows network settings to connect to the internet. that means yung settings ng IE. meron kasi mga times na nagiiba ang settings ng IE due to some sites you visist (which wont affect other browsers like firefox). kahit ako, I dont use IE (i use chrome and firefox) but I still have to check the internet setttings of IE from time to time.
although there is another case with YM. merong mga instances na hindi ka makalogin. but your IE settings are working fine. to fix this problem, you need to change some settings manually. its very tedious if you do it manually but there is a tool you can use to change the settings automatically. andun sa kabilang PC yung program and link so later ko na post kung may maghanap man
