Steelcraft industries' first entry for an indigenous made APC during the 1990's.
It lost out to GKN Simba.

But I'd really have to say that the design of the Hari-Digma is better than GKN Simba though. It's much cheaper as well.

The Hari-Digma APC.

Armor level is still similar to Simba APC.

Look at the far left, there is this Mobile turret beside the APC.

There are two versions of the Hari-Digma, the other has it's turret sitted on the middle of the frame.

12mm?

Anyway, the AFP wants Light armored vehicles ranging 15 tons below due to our muddy forest and swampy terrain, and the other reasons for this is because most bridges made in the Philippines is not designed to have a load of 15-20 tons up.

And one more thing, AFP doesn't want to use Main Battle Tanks like M1 Abrams because it will be a big target for RPGs and will have hard time traversing our jungle terrain. Also that most of our enemies operate in the jungle that will make long barreled guns of Main Battle Tanks will have hard time acquiring target due to blockage from trees.

In fairness mabuti naman may gamit tayo...

Sensya na if medyo out of topic.

Pero I agree dapt tlga diesel ang gamit kesa gas.. low reving, more torque, mahirap pa mamatayan, tipid pa.. diesel engine w/ snorkel can also be submerged underwater kse walang high tension wire

At saka 120 kph max is really good enough na. Most armored vehicles have max speed as high as that.

The only one of those armored vehicles currently being used in the AFP is the PMC Multi-Purpose Marine Vehicle (MMPV)

The MX-1 Kalakian and Hari-Digma APC both lost out.

The MX-8 is still probably under or has already finished evaluation but there is still o report that it will be massed produced.

Anyway...

AFP currently has 300 APCs, 40 Scorpion Light tanks, 60+ M113 Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle (AIFV), 30+ Different variants of M113 APC, 3 LVTH6 and etc.

Well kung small arms lang ang kalaban like Assault Rifles, 7.62 Machine guns, Ok na siya.

The problem is the AFP's enemies (rebels) are armed with B40 RPGs. The jet of molten hot copper that bursts forward from an exploding RPG warhead can penetrate over 300 mm of Military grade steel armor. US can be heavily damaged with a single shot of an RPG. Pero depende kung saang part tatama at kung ano ang Angle ng RPG warhead by the time it hits the vehicle. The most vulnerable part is the tracks, in which if it gets broken the vehicle will lose mobility and the troops will soon have to find a way out of the conflict area.
