depends on the model ng laptop

asus is well known for their trade mark "ROG" aka republic of gaming sa mga high ends nila

MSI is not new but they are a very well trusted, they have this one gaming laptop where you can upgrade in the future

If uore willing to spend around $1600 value for a gaming laptop go MSI packing a gtx 970 to 980 kasi only MSI and Alienware allow you to TURN OFF your dedicated GPU and use your embedded Intel GPU to conserve power and give your laptop much longer battery life away from the plug, the high end ASUS Maxwell packed models still lack this feature pero kung under $1300 ang budget go for the ASUS ROG models with Maxwell

take not though that the ones that have a dedicated AND onboard GPU are not available in all models. the 120hz models on any brand will NOT have the optimus feature since intel onboard GPU cannot handle 120hz (though I have no idea why they won't just have it as an option so people can use the intel GPU at 60hz to prolong battery life)

ASUS ROG laptops use generic chicklet/membrane type red led only keyboards

MSI GS to GT laptops use Steel Series Multicolored Gaming class keyboards

That's basically the only difference easier from screen size, amount of ram and storage that varies in model

Also gaming laptops have begun to use Ultrabook class CPUs as well with the Broadwell line from Intel

GE72 would be best one amog the choices. newer mobo chipset, better video card, higher RAM, bigger screen BUT is does not have optimus

the G551JW, however DOES have optimus (but I dont think all models have it, the DS71 and DS74 does but the other ones I havent seen any mention of it)

I have owned both MSI and ASUS gaming laptops before, although its quite unfair to compare the two, my old MSI was just 15 inches while the ASUS ROG was 17 inches AND 120hz. just one thing to note, the ASUS napalitan ng mobo and power supply within the warranty of 2 years (although my friend who also has a similar ASUS laptop also had the same problem so it mightve been this particular model na may problema). the MSI, nagkaproblema din dati, nag overheat ang video card. but thats mostly the fault of the new owner (pinatong sa sofa so natakpan ang air vents)

most likely on forums and youtube videos where there are some game programmer and game devs give a little knowledge about game developing

playing DOTA 2 , LOL and Diablo on those specs are Over power , you can run them at max settings and can give you 60fps

i can't remember if ASUS ROG lineups have GSYNC on their monitors , i know that MSI has GSYNC and Tobii EyeX tracking

G-sync is for screen tearing (like the image below) it helps the GPU smooth out teared out screen

while Tobii EyeX is like a mouse but your using your eyes and it's a little expensive ($139) if you buy one for your PC

I vote for MSI GE72 as well. When it comes to gaming it really is better to get the one with the best video card.
