Topic: Laptop suggestion 18k-25k for Programming?

Help naman po, any suggestion for starting programmer, doing Java, C, JSP [Eclipse, Sublime, Netbeans]

Marami poo kasi nagkalat sa market na mga laptop/netbook pero parehas po mga specs, any suggestion po jan? Thanks in advance po

whatever you can purchase with your budget will be enough. hindi ganun ka takaw ng resources especially you are a starting programmer, siguro pag malalaking projects/systems na probably. and also kung mag mumultimedia ka kailangan mo na malakas na computer.

you can get an i3 level laptop with that amount already sir... look for the one which offers the best specs in asus, msi or lenovo...

agree with this, Lenovo with i3 specs is your best bet here.. wag na mag-asam ng high-end na vidcard though, 4GB ram + 64bit PC with i3 is enough for most programming purposes, tapos kabitan mo ng Ubuntu.

Punta ka philmore dami dun. Yung mga laptop nila na 5-7k ang range e high specs na at pwede na pang program. Ang downside lang is mababa video card so not gonna work on games. Pero tumatakbo yang lahat nang kelangan mo. And kung gusto mo talga yung price range mo meron din dun yung mga TOL na.

Yep i3 would be perfect in your budget, if you can get the 5th gen Broadwell para kahit papa no its a bit more capable than the last generation for daily use and minor gaming

I had worked on Core2Duo laptops running at 1.6 to 1.8Ghz with 2gig ram lang. Grabe.
Honestly, everything is working fine naman. mababa naman ang specs ng programing, kayang kaya na yan. Ang games ang mataas.

Core2Duo - 2010 to 2012 laptop should and would probably priced at around 7to 10k.
hanap ka ng Intel Based I3 to I5 laptop priced at 9k to 15k.

and to make it safe, kuha ka with reputable brands like Lenovo, Dell, HP, Sony, Asus, MSI. IMO, dyan lang ako nagtitiwala.
Second choice line up ko is Acer, Compaq.
Da rest, wag na lang... wag kang kukuha nang Redfox.

Ideally, get I3 or I5, right brand, then 2gig (nakukulangan ako, pero you can start with this, better yet, get 4gig to 8gig.

Sa HDD, minimum is 120HDD (mababa masyado to). pero 250HDD will do more than 250HDD tapos tatamaan ang pricing, wag na lang rin, meaning di ko ma-advice. di naman bumibilis ang PC sa HDD. and HDD is more of another topic and does not complement speed.

In my opinion lang ah, and wanted to remind all of us techie of what we know of. ako kasi, matigas ang ulo ko, and i learned manythings.

DO NOT BUY AMD's, kasi mainitin yan. di tatatagal ang nabili mong pc. ako, may desktop na AMD at may laptop na AMD.

ang advantage talaga is mura na, mabilis pa. pero there's a catch, gaano tatagal ang computer mo? nasa pag iingat? i doubt. buhay pa naman pc ko, pero di kasi babad ang gamit ko. pero di tulad pag intel, alam naman nating malamig syang malupit kumpara sa amd, kaya dyan tayo papatayin sa long run.

kung mababalik ko lang, nag intel na lang ako, para hindi ako takot na anytime soon, iwanan ako ng pc ko. mas mahal, pero wag na lang natin kunin yung pinaka latest release. at again, wag maTempt sa pag bili ng AMD.

anyway, this is just my opinion chief.

AMD A6-6310  is comparable to an Intel Pentium (Broadwell) or i3 4010u (Haswqell) CPU so for programing and other basic stuff it will be fine with very low level gaming based on the Beema SoC class CPUs running at 15w tdp so even if it was designed to go up to 100C temp at this low TDP  heating will not be am issue since Been along with Mullins was designed for Ultrabook class and Tablet devices thus the SoC or System On Chip configuration which is generally soldered in to the motherboard so its non upgradable

On the issue of AMD laptop heating meron making gamiit na HP Pavilion 17" laptop running on AMD A8 4500m Trinity CPU that was primarily used to play LoL  and stream movies and series along with Ragnarok Not na nabili Jan 2012  heavily used until now na ang problem lang sira DVD drive other wise works fine for games and streaming, regularly nililinis ang fans and exhaust every 6 months though wala sya laptop cooler na patungan

i beg to DISAGREE . . . been using amd processors for more than 10 years and i haven't experienced any problem with them (approx less than 60-100 office computers na siguro na assemble namin na amd processor ang gamit namin (everyday ginagamit 8-5) wala pa ako na encounter na problem if meron man minor at kahit isa wala pa kami na encounter nasirang amd processor. latest na assemble ko sa bahay cheap budget gaming pc amd a10 7700k asus a88x-gamer mother board 2x4gb corsair 1600mhz no need video card kahit anong latest games ipakain ko kaya nya.  pasalamat ako sa amd dahil kung wala amd malamang MONOPOLYA din ang intel ngayon na nga lang overpriced na cla eh pano nalng kung wala amd.

I understand. I respect/accept your opinion Co-Spies you and i have a fair share of the battle field. i have proof too na mainitin naman talaga sya kahit check pa natin heat reports ng pc comparing a same specs of intel and amd. anyway, maybe i'm wrong, and maybe you're right.
