I called BDO at ang sabi nila is dapat ako daw ang kuma-usap sa Manulife para ma void yung transaction. I called Manulife since they promise to call me after 3-5 working days. After a week na walang reply sa kanila ako na uli ang tumawag, guess what? They are asking again my credit card # & they will file again a report. Anak ng teteng nagalit na ako! Nag iba nag pakiki-usap nila at sinabing according to their review of the voice recording ay pumayag daw ako sa inaalok nilang insurance. I told them that I want to hear the voice recording and  if the can email it to me, pero sabi nila na di daw pwede kasi confidential daw iyon! Confidential? It's my own voice at alam ko na nagsisinungaling sila tapos confidential? They told me that if I want to hear it, dapat pumunta daw ako sa office nila sa Makati. Sabi ko pupunta ako dyan? I am from Bulacan na it will cost 500 for gas, 100 sa toll & my one day salary para lang makipag debate kung pumayag ako sa alok nilang insurance at wala namang compensation after that. Aaminin ko na na naloko at ako ay naisahan. Sa kanila na yung 1,290 na na charge sa credit card ko. But I will tell it to the whole word ang racket nila at pang gagancho nila na kasabwat ang BDO dahil sila ang nagbigay ng personal info ko. I will say it again BDO gave my personal info & number sa Manulife without my permission and it causes me stress ang anger and in the end wala naman silang magagawa para tulungan ka. So bakit ka pa magbabangko sa BDO?

You can't pinpoint who gave your info to them.. madaming pwede kang pinaglagyan ng info mo, i.e. purchases, fb account , email account, legal documents,  in my case e Globe Postpaid account , etc. at kung magagawa mo man, you can't blame an institution dahil most likely iilang tao ang nakinabang sa pagbenta ng info mo sa kanila, ang alam ko punishable by law ang pagrelease ng private data, di ko lang alam kung accountable yung institutions pag may empleyadong gumagawa ng ganyan.

matagal na akong merong BDO credit card (nag expire na nga last 2013 yung isang card), wala naman akong na experience na ganyan. naloko ka lang talaga kasi kung taga BDO talaga ang tumawag sayo they will NEVER ask for your card number (why would they? they already have it), ang itatanong sayo is yung security question na nilagay mo sa application like mothers maiden name (since their goal is NOT to know your card number but to establish your identity as the owner of the card).

eto lang tandaan pag may mga tumawag sa phone, always ask whats the call about. kung credit card man, ask why are they calling instead of sending SMS, or email bakit kailangan pa itawag kung mag iinform lang ng promo or something (an automated SMS,email is going to be way cheaper and faster). most of the time yung mga tumatawag na yan hindi talaga from the credit card company, mga telemarketer lang yan. marami na tumawag sakin dati (although wala pang related to BDO), i always ask kung ano ang purpose ng call, pag sinabi na promo or something, automatic not interested ang sabi sabay baba ang phone. they are telemarketers they wont bother calling again, they will just go to the next name on the list

also every transaction sa credit card na suspicious (i.e. yung nangyayari minsan na down ang system so ilang beses naiswipe ng establishment ang card para lumusot), they will send SMS to your registered cp number AND/OR they will call dun sa registered CP number.

yung about naman dun sa mga number na napupunta sa mga telemarketers, it does happen not only with BDO but other companies as well. although bawal yan, nakakalusot parin since mahirap din itrace kung sino sa mga employee ang nagleak ng info kasi yung iba dyan hindi naman talaga directly employed, like call center agents or former employees.

the last paragraph says it all.. it happens to all like SMART, GLOBE, SUN, BPI, BDO, CITIBANK etc... once you're in their database, chances are you'll be receiving calls of the like... just ignore them and eventually they will stop pestering you...
