ROOTING only means accessing the Root Directory of your Android device to allow apps that Mod the System such as Titanium backup, anyone can root any android as long as the corresponding root to a specific device and its OS version is available

you can do it yourself since information is already all over the internet

@MasterChief63 - actually, been researching na and nakapagbasa na rin ng rooting steps especially for Neo L..  Pero parang hindi ako confident kase di ko hilig ang Android masyado, unlike pag PC, kase bara-bara lang pedeng pede..  Heheheh!

Pre basa basa ka lang sa forum.xda-developers.com, sabay search sa phone unit mo, andun na lahat nang info na kaylangan mo...bat kapa magbabayad eh kung pede naman ikaw gumawa...

Hindi ka matototo nyan kung aasa ka nang aasa sa iba, as for experience, I even bricked my first android phone when xperia x8 was still new...pero kung xempre gusto mo nang safe and sure way, gagastos ka talaga nyan para iparoot...

well, Goodluck sayo at sa Neo L mo...

@Deadsoul© - pag may extra cash na siguro, i will dare...  kaso sa ngayon, i prefer to have it rooted by experienced "rooter"...   pag na brick ko kase wala akong pamalit aqgad...

@Trigger Davao - i am not familiar with the effects per model or per unit, pero generally, ayun sa nababasa ko, una, pede mong i uninstall ang mga "bloatwares", ito yung naka install na by default kasma ng pag bili mo ng unit na bukod sa karamihan ay useless, kinakain ang RAM ng android mo at di mo ma un install.  pangalawa, pede ka mag install ng custom ROMs na nagkalat na net na mas mabilis sa stock rom nya.. Parang PC, instead of using the OEM OS, gagamitan mo ng modded OS for PErformance or BEauty na rin siguro.  And lastly, you can intsll and un install any apps you like...

getting it bricked will not mean you have to replace it, it just means any repair for it will not be covered by warranty since malalaman nila na you tried to root it and rooting voids warranty

take note, some custom ROMs, DO NOT require root. but most do

take a look at xda, most custom ROMs also include a step by step installation guide that includes rooting and such

sa XDA dev lang din naman ako natuto, my HTC HD2 nagawa ko mag Android dati from Windows Mobile

then to my LG Optimus T and now my (God Forsaken) LG Optimus 3D, wala pang Official ICS and O3D Asian Versions pero dahil bwiset na bwiset ako sa 3D phone na hiyang hiya ako ilabas dahil 2.3 GB pa rin i read and learned how to force install(just last March) the European ICS beta v28b and then onto Official Euro(non beta) and then niroot ko pero since LG barely put any bloatware wala ako masyado inalis maliban for some older games

nowadays there is always a way to recover from a BRICK

"Bricked" is a general term used when an electronic device becomes inoperable after a failure in software modification, any devices with an OS that gets the OS corrupted is Bricked, which came from the word Brick(what your thinking of, pambato na lang)

but meron na kasi methods to recover from a Brick

ka-espiya, akalain nyong na ROOT ko na ang neo L ko and na install ang CWM...

isa na lang ang probs ko, ayaw ma flash ang kernel using an img-type file...  ayon sa flashtool, need to ROOT pa daw ang unit ko when in fact na install ko na ang mga apps that needed root access at may SUPERUSER na..

hula ko ang ginawa mo rooting yung safe method (online). ganyan din kse sakin nung safe method ginawa ko rooted na pero lumalabas not rooted pa din kelangan mo ata gawin yung testpoint method (NOTE PAKI RESEARCH MUNA HA KASI NEO V SAKIN) basa basa ulit at follow instructions carefully if gagawin mo yung testpoint method nagawa ko naman im sure kaya mo din yan tibay lang ng loob hahaha eka check ko nga din pag root sa neo l

sorry my bad last year ko pa kasi ginawa yung sa neo v ko hinde pala rooting yung me safemode/testpoint bootloader unlocking pla yun. hanap ako ulit post ko dito pag nakita ko.

hope this helps guide na ginamit ko sa neo v ko at neo v ng friend ko. guide lang yan para me idea ka sa steps na gagawin mo. try to find the neo L threads para sure.

based sa nabasa ko sa thread na to official unlock bootloader works for neo L na try mo na ba unlock bootloader ng neo L mo ?

nung nag unlock kasi ako ng official way sabi sa phone unlocked pero pag mag fastboot nga ata meron lalabas not yet unlocked kaya napilitan ako mag testpoint method.

ayan, na ROOT ko na ang xperia neo L ko at nakapag install pa ng cutomr ROM...

madali lang pala, nag bootloop ako once, na bricke twice, pero OKAY na...

PROOF ohhh! ang neo L na naka JELLY BEAN... hahaha
