HELP PLS!!! Paano ba isetup sa BIOS ang SATA?

palagi kasing IDE ang lumalabas eh.. kapag dinidisable ko naman IDE. nagdidiskboot failure.. naka IDE kasi ito dati eh..
GeForce6100PM - M2 yung mother board ko.. tapos 500GB ang SATA ko.. pls help hindi ko talaga kasi mastart eh.. hindi nadedetect ang SATA ko..

ive never heard of any motherboard that had a CAP on the HD capacity, ang alam ko ang magdidictate nung kung makikita ang HD is kung FAT32 or NTFS and format ng HD, and the only factors that determine if a mobo can or cannot support HDs is the physical connection either IDE or SATA

yep there is.. may mga mobo na hanggang 40gb lng kaya.. dami nito sa office namin.. may mga hindi kami nagamit na bnew 80gb kasi ayaw tlga.. ang hirap na makahanap ng bnew na 40gb ngayon.. ayaw tlga madetect.. sa office ko lng rin natutunan to..

don't know kung applicable sa mobo nya..

okei na mga peeps.. kaso nagkamali ako.. nagdirediretso installation.. hindi man lang nagtanong kung ano papartition ko kaya XP ko ngayon 500GB :D..

pede ko kaya gawan pa toh ng partition kahit may OS na ako nakainstall?.. kahit mismo sa windows ko na gawin?

yes pwede.. use partition magic for that and the like  ;D

uu i completely agree with this. may mga mobo na kelangang iupdate ang mobo to upgrade its capabilities. lalo na sa HDD capacity.

Use flash utilities para depende sa BIOS ng mobo. kung AMI o AWARD o Pheonix. lahat sila may sari-sariling Flash utilities na ipede magupdate ng firmware and BIOS ng mobo.

@madarame update niyo ang Bios niyo para maka detect ng mas higher capacity na HD

@kurabo bago ba yang bili mo? tingnan mo muna sa bios kung nadi-detect siya kung andun siya sa bios tapos wala sa windows punta ka Computer Management tapos hanapin mo ang disk management.

at kung di naman nadi-detect sa bios pa lang.. update mo lang ang BIOS.

OO nga...depende yan sa bios or chipset...Yung mga old motherboads may possibility na hindi ma detect yung 500GB, I suggest visit mo yung website ng MOBO mo para maliwanagan ka...hehe
