Question about cloning my win10 to a new ssd
« on: September 10, 2017, 12:56:05 pm »
Hello ka-espiya,
This is my situation: I had my default 1tb hhd and it only has 1 partition having a size of 883gb, it is already almost full (having 27.7 gb free) . Now, I bought a 250 gb SSD and I was planning to put it on the slot of the 1tbHHD and put the 1tb HHD on a caddy.

My question is: having a small SSD compared with my HDD, is it possible to only clone my Windows10 OS? I need your help guys.

Yes it is possible.. i've done it 2 years ago , pero nakalimutan ko na if it's acronis or easus , yung ginamit ko

basically. you just clone the drive , then you have the option to exclude files or folders ( your movies / porn / games folders )

Yes po pwede po yun, Sir tried and tested ko na yung EaseUS Partition Master, dami downloadable nun sa net na cracked version. Pinaka simple gamitin pang clone ng system, recovery, data or OS partition.

easeus partition master has a free version, although the feature you probably want (migrate OS to SSD) is only available sa professional and server editions

PERO pwede rin naman kasi clone HDD mo lang then just select/deselect certain folders para magkasya sa SSD na lilipatan mo (take note, you have to clone the entire disk not just partition copy since partition copy wont include the system partition - since its a separate partition)

Try mo po ung Farstone. Install mo po as trial then gawa ka ng boot disc gmit ung trial.  Pretty straightforward din 2ng gamitin and may option to select kng anong drive icclone mo. Need mo po pla save as image and another external harddisk kpg gnwa mo 2.

Suggestion ko lng sir. Ms ok po cgro if fresh install ng OS ggwin mo sa new SSD mo. Aside sa mas malinis kc bago na OS mo, ms mabilis png gawin.  Tinry kong mgclone dn kaso aabutan ka ng syam syam kpg gnwa mo yan.

Thanks guys, I'll try using Easeus as soon as my ordered caddy will be delivered 2 weeks later.

if mag fresh install ako, how can I use my Win10 License?

you can try to fresh install windows 10 BUT make sure the old HDD is still connected (the only important thing there is the system partition para mabasa pag install and it will copy the info from the old hdd to the new one)

it should work, you can check after install if windows is activated. pag hindi, try to go online and wait around a few minutes. pag activated na, remove the old hdd, then see if on next boot if windows will still be activated. the part im not sure about is IF windows will copy the old info into the new system partition on the SSD or not. baka kasi it will still rely on the old system partition on the old HDD
