d series as in pentium D? mga 95W ang TDP nyan. the AMD APU A4 series only has a TDP of 65W so theoretically dapat mas mababa ang power draw ng AMD

the pentium G series however, only have around 53W of TDP (the lower versions can go as low as 35W)

thanks sir bodieph...

G series na nga pala ngayon...

yup..im looking sa 35W the least.....which can run dota2..
ano kaya maganda na set up... energy efficient + low budget for dota2...

im leaning towards intel build....

First of all . those low energy apu's may be a lot slower that the regular processors

and how much do you expect to save on your monthly electrc  bill

the AMD a10 7800 and the AMD a8 7600 are the newest addition to APU family presents 65 watt TDP and are both adjustable 45 watt TDP via  CMOS configuration, photo CPUs are considered to be in direct competition with the Intel i5 CPUs that are meant for gaming and minimal multitasking at a budget, a10 7800 has a Radeon r7 igp comparable to the 7850k while the a8 has an r5 igp

These are the only apus that can play more graphics intensive games without the need for discreet video cards at a very efficient level

The Athlon 5350 is a CPU that runs at a 25w tdp but might inky be able to play games at lowest settings

Apus were meant to run games without video cards so having Intel i5 at a much higher price range and still needing video cards is pretty much why APUs exist, efficient midrange gaming at a budget way lower than a comparable Intel setup coz not everyone can afford the most expensive and power hungry pcs

as per reading by masterchief comment, the most efficient and power saving for midrange  are the AMD a10 7800 and the AMD a8 7600.

Mine is A8-6600K....

I might go for A10 since I can set up this for 45watt.. my PC runs like 16hours/day... 45wattage is great if that can run Dota2...

Also, i don't need to change my mobo if ill stick with AMD....

Any intel fanatic here that would challenge the A10/A8-7600? I'm still open for intel option..

And I really appreciate your inputs guys....

thanks!

budget range go with AMD A10 just like Masterchief said

if you want Intel then start saving more , Im an intel user and its not budget wise as you think

i can say go Intel choose an i3 ivybridge processor but you still need to buy a GPU I can suggest you to go GTX 750 Ti for low power consumption but not wallet friendly price

I suggest you go for the 7800 with the R7 with 512 shader cores similar to the 7850k while the 7600 only has 384 shader cores so a bit more umph in the graphics performance but if you plan to still get a discreet vid card then the 7600 is a good pick

Everything off except World Lighting and VSync, Shadow and Textures High, Render Quality around 85% 30+ FPS pa yan sa 1366x768. Importante lang naka dual-channel RAM tas di bababa sa 1600mhz.

yan na yata hinahanap ko na specs... pwedeng pang dota at low power consumption compared to my current one...

kasi if ill go to intel, i have to buy mobo+processor+GPU....

isnt turning off most of the Graphical Enhancements because the GPU cannot handle them the very definition of "Struggle" ???

not really. you can turn them on no problem if you don't mind going 1 resolution down. struggle imo would be turning everything off, textures and shadows low, 1280x720 and still get below 20 fps. I guess it's really subjective, some people would say 1280x720 isn't worth it but that's fine, I don't think people who are interested at that particular chip have the same mindset (and budget) as enthusiasts anyway.

this is noted. been reading the reviews... it's great to build...  however, I would save more if I'll just go with A10 7600 upgrade... right? ano katapat ba ng R7 265 sa nvidia?

Also, it's best paired if using 8GB DDR3-2133 RAM ang sabi.. ako ngayon is 4GB DDR3-1866 lang eh... nag cocontemplate tuloy ako if I will sell my A8 6600 build and build the below set up....

From tipidpc
Option 1 - Php 8,400
 Intel Pentium G3258 - Php 3,300
 MSI H81M-P33 - Php 2,350
 Inno3D GeForce GT 730 GDDR5 - Php 2,750

Option 2 - Php 8,410
 AMD A8-7600 - Php 5,050
 Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3 - Php 3,360
