suggest laptop for a student
« on: June 14, 2014, 11:01:41 pm »

any suggestions sir/mam?

salamat!

Brand
- Toshiba, DELL or SONY VAIO. wag ka kukuha ng HP or COMPAQ. utang na loob :)

RAM

HPs used to be one of the bad brands but after 2010 they seem to have turned around Quality Control for laptops

asa gumagamit yan, me and my cousins have had laptops last 3 to 5 years na gaming use bago magkamajor problems basta ang sabi ko sa kanila:

1) buy a laptop cooler, A GOOD ONE not just any generic coolers that have powerful fans that blow up the direction of the cpu's hottest points usually below the CPU and GPU either 1  Big fan in the middle or 3 small fans, sure maingay but this will keep your laptop cool and kung makakahanap ka yung elevated sa likod with an aluminum surface

2) NEVER EVER USE laptops on beds, sfas and other soft surfaces with cloth that may change shape to cover ventilation holes that can also absorb and reflect heat back to the laptop meron akong pamangkin na matigas ang ulo sinabi ko na wag gagamitin sa kama ayun wala pa 2 years mabilis na magoverheat

3) after your warranty expires(usually 2 years) have it regularly cleaned and if possible get thermal paste reapplied

4) GET EXTENDED WARRANTY (US Stores offer that especially best buy)

24-48 hour nonstop use is not advisable for laptops/notebooks because of the effects of heat exposure for extended periods of time especially if you are not in an air conditioned room, may rest interval din dapat every 8 hours, if you plan to use it like that your better off getting a Desktop PC because they are built to run for longer periods of time with the proper cooling setup

in my opinion this is the best Laptop cooling option in the market right now, models differ fro size, this is for up to 17" meron din pang 15" and 19"
