Photo Summit Asia 2013 reels off in Cebu City on September 5-8, 2013 with hundreds of photographers from the Philippines and all over Asia expected to attend the regional trade show and convention.

The photography trade show, which will be free and open to the public from September 5-8, will be at the Ayala Center Cebu Exhibit Area where major camera manufacturers and photography suppliers will display their latest products.

The international photographers’ convention will be held at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel from September 6 to 8, 2013. A power-packed line-up of speakers are scheduled to share insights and their professional techniques with fellow photographers in the convention. Fee to the photographers’ convention is P3,000 per delegate. Early bird rate is P2,500 up to July 31, 2013.

The speakers include:

G-nie Arambulo – She found her love of photography while art-directing shoots in 1992. One of the country’s most awarded advertising photographer and is currently the only Filipino member of the elite Master Photographers Association (MPA) based in the UK. Her high-speed special effects shots of Boysen Paints earned a number of accolades from international advertising award-giving organizations, including Spikes and Cannes Lion.

Lemuel Arrogante – Multi-awarded premier wedding photographer and director based in Cebu, Philippines. The founder and owner of Papicture Studio.

Niccolo Cosme – Creative director for the Lighthouse Studio, Conceptual Photographer, Visual Artist. Recipient of the Ani ng Dangal Awards by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts.

Raymond Cruz – Professional photographer who specializes in nature, outdoor and landscape photography.

Boboy Librodo – The older brother of also famous Manny Librodo is an accomplished painter, musician and photographer who taught his younger brother the art of photography and post processing. Boboy has done his own “The Eye” series of successful workshops where he leveraged his fine art background to teach new photographers the art of seeing beauty in everyday things.

Liew Tong Leng – Singaporean photographer Liew Tong Leng has won hundreds of photography awards, including the Great Eastern 4th Photography Competition (2004), Best of Asian Aerospace Photography
Contest (2004), and The Big Shot (2010), a reality TV programme aired on MediaCorp Ch5. Gold award International Loupe Awards (2012) photojournalism category. Attained fellowship (FPSS) of the Photographic Society of Singapore.

Erwin Lim – A dentist by profession, a photographer by passion. His photo was awarded by the ASEAN Tourism Association Awards for Excellence (held in Vietnam) as the best tourism shot. He was also awarded by the NCAA (National Commission on Culture and the Arts) the “Ani ng Dangal” Award.

Ted Madamba – From being a photography hobbyist, he crossed over successfully and became a professional photographer and lecturer. He also reaped awards from a number of prestigious photo competitions here in the Philippines and abroad.

Arthur Teng – Malaysian photographer Arthur Teng travels frequently in search of his photographic images. His favourite subjects are landscapes, graphics and lifestyles. Arthur has won a number of photography awards locally and abroad, and had represented Malaysia in two international photography competitions. He published “Rustic Malaysia – a pictorial journey” in 1994.

Niko Villegas – Named after a famous camera, brand he was introduced to the arts at a very tender age by his father. He studied AB Communication Arts in Ateneo de Davao University. He started photography in college as an elective in school and moved on to work for local dailies and websites. Niko decided to broaden his horizons and moved to the United States in 2006 to pursue a second degree, a BA in Photography at The Art Center Design College in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
