Goodmorning espionage!

pwede naman basta supported ng mother board bios mo. search mo model ng mother board then dun mo tingnan kung hanggang ilang gb support. but i think pwede yan hanggang 512 - 750gb 2.5 hdd or ssd at huwag mo lalangin ang 100gb ssd. it is way better and faster than normal 2.5 laptop hdd.

Ano ba ang original na HDD niya?

1. SSD - kung built in, sa SONY try mo i-contact at tanungin ang upgrade options. kasi built-in means soldered sa mobo.
2. Typical HDD - take out the HDD, look for an SSD with the same dimension

let us know.

happy hunting.

did you see the specs?

100GB (HDD recovery storage: max. 8GB*3, C: Remain) Ultra ATA/100, 4200rpm

its a physical HDD

pwede mo palitan yan SSD but take note a 120gb SSD can set you back atleast P4,000 so 256gb is gonna be P8k-P10k

yup, it's much better nga compare sa typical hdd. sa speed ng bootup pa lang kita na difference. salamat dreng polsci.

upgrade to a standard laptop HDD mga 500gb and up mas mura also only get 5400rpms never 7200rpms kasi 7200s they eat up battery faster and heat up more

i don't know why our some consultants here pinagpipilitan ang SSD at hindi naman sinasabi ang price or di tinatanong kung may budget ang tao

in giving an option you need to understand yun standing ng tao may pera ba sya or limited ang budget nya

in giving advice present all option kapag pinili nila ito mabagal but cheap or faster but expensive so that alam nyang mag-decide at di sya mademonyo ng ibang technician or team member na panget ang advice nyo

if you will read TS' first post here, there was no mention of price, etc.  meaning initially ay walang ganung worries si TS, or so that is what those who replied with the SSD option perceived things.  now, dahil binanggit na niya na "mahal pala yung SSD" so may mga ibang options na binanggit.  no one is at fault, in my opinion.

that's true but we all knew how expensive SSD kaysa naman  bumalik yung TS na sabi HANG Mahal pala so imbes na nakaisip ng measures kung anong bibilhin e bumalik sya dito

den may magsasabi ng ibang option den

babalik ulit sya ang mag-iisip waste of time ika nga

parang sinasabi nila mas maganda Intel mas maganda Intel at sasabihin ng team member sa store okay ang AMD at mura but dahil naniniwala ka sa sinabi nila e mas pipiliin mo INTEL wherein fact analyst will tell na pareho lang silang quality at performance  dahil both of them made in china

PRICE is not the only issue why SSDs will never outsell HDDs

Read/Write Limit

all DATA storage devices have an assumed Read/Write count that it can do in its lifetime until degradation can affect the system that uses it for storage, sure SSDs do read/right significantly faster than HDDs ergo the Boot Time of Seconds compared to Minutes in HDDs but SSDs have a shorter Read/Write Limit is significantly lower than HDDs thus they have a tendency to give problems much faster than HDDs and unless Flash Memory makers like Samsung and Hynix Figure out to improve and prolong the Read/Write Lifespan of SSDs and make them cheaper Mass storage will still be on HDDs and Faster System Functioning on SSDs

now HDD/SSD Hybrids are being made to allow Systems to boot up faster and perform better than just using standard HDDs

Para hindi ka mahirapan and no need na mag open ng laptop or call any number just in case try mo ito

http://www.crucial.com then select mo yung SSD Advisor then piliin mo lang yung exact model ng laptop mo.

Explore the site na lang and Enjoy.

HINDI PWEDE pala.

Crucial Solid-State Drives require a Serial ATA (SATA) connector in your computer. Crucial is unable to determine if your computer has this SATA connector, so we are unable to determine if a Crucial Solid-state drive will work in your computer.

How sad  :(

mukhang last option ko na lang is to buy an external drive for my storage upgrade. medyo hassle nga lang gamitin for my daily activities.

Maraming salamat sa mga nagcontribute! Iba talaga dito sa espiya!  ::werule

I havent seen any ultra ATA SSD locally so if ever meron man, it will be very expensive. your best bet will be sony itself since sila naglagay nyan.

but to answer the question, yes pwede siya palitan ng larger storage IF you can find a larger size Ultra ATA SSD
